      Lucid Control Problem

      Hi, I am actually new in this forum. But I'm already a lucid dreamer, I get into this because Im suffering from Sleep Paralysis at rates at least once a week, I had it since I was 16, I've experience also OOBE's but rarely, guess about five times. I am actually good at controling my dreams. When I go lucid I actually do things I want to do, but not these past days, something have changed.

      Reason why I joined a forum is I want to know other dreamers view on this. I dont know if I post this in the right category but anyways heres the thing.

      For the past nights, including last night, somethings wrong with my ability. When I go lucid, all I see is a room, a dark room and the room doesnt even looked like mine. But I can see things in there. However the room has no doors nor windows. I tried to push myself to walk through those walls but I cant, tried to create a door and it doesnt work. All I am is stock in a dark room, lucid and conscious that I am in a dark room and can't do anything about it. I spinning couple times hoping maybe it would change the dream state, alter maybe the place, still it didn't work. However I tried harder, spinning and spinning then somehow i still end up in the room but it had an opening all I can see in the opening is light I get in to the opening then my lucid dream stopped I fell asleep. Thats all I can remember, after I get to the opening, I wasnt lucid anymore.

      I was just wondering whats happening to me, anyone views on this?

      I think you need to meditate in your dream. Try and think about your personal goals in life. Maybe it's your sub-concious telling you you need to think about life, and give up on a fun night of lucid dreaming for a bit. Try and be at peace. Think about the beauty of your mind, and not visuals you will want to see. Your dream will guide you. I really hope this works.

      You can also check out the Dream Contol tutorial in the tutorial section. In fact, any number of the tutorials could help you.

      @Andywarski

      Ok I'll try to concentrate on it.

      I am actually taking medications, could it be the cause?

      Actually, that could have something to do with it. A lot of medications can have negative effects on us, as they mess with our brain chemistry, mess with our other natural cycles, etc. Most of the medications that do this are things like prescription pain relievers, behaviour altering drugs (such as anti-depressants), and sometimes even sleep medications.

      If you don't mind my asking; what are you taking? If it is nothing vital to your survival/being able to function while awake, I'd go off. However, if it's something that you'll be able to go off of in a couple of weeks, I'd let it take its course, and start back up with the dreaming when you go off. Until then, the meditation is a good thing to practice (in fact, it's always a good thing to practice).

      @vahn Perhaps itis the cause. But I think if your gunna stay on the medication do what I said, it might be elightning. I've had very dark dreams that I wake up in awe in. It kind of feels like I'm blind in some dreams but my senses shoot up hella high
