dream cheat codes

so if you've ever played a fps game before, u know that you can press the ~ key to bring up the command console and type in a cheat code.

so i thought, why not try it in a lucid dream? and holy shit, it worked!

basically i just imagined a keyboard in front of me, pressed the ~ key, and a command console popped into my field of vision. then i typed in a cheat code with my mind and pressed enter. since i've seen it work in a video game, i naturally expect it to work in the dream as well, and it did

so far i've just had about 2 dreams where i've actually done this, so the only codes i've tried so far are:
noclip - to walk through walls
fly - to turn off the gravity so i can float around

but like, the possibilities are endless!!

Although if you're mind isn't G-rated, you probably didn't need that one

it should also make things easier for people who have trouble flying, shapeshifting, etc

Sounds like it could work if you're a gamer and it would be useful if you have a hard time getting people to appear that you know.

I have a hard time even moving in the LD's that I've had.... However when I start to learn how to control and maintain my lucidity, I'll have to try this one out.

I would just like to offer a slightly different perspective:

This will work well if you're a gamer for any dream control, but only if you're a gamer.

Cheat codes is an awesome idea.

How about this: before you go to sleep, imagine a keyboard in front of you, then you enter all the cheat codes in for your dream.

Awesome idea! I should really try some of the World of Warcraft (Mangos emulator

) ones:

.additem [thing you want to have]
.npc spawn [who would you like to spawn]
.modify scale 1-10 - makes you bigger or smaller
.modify morph [who/what would you like to transform into]
.modify speed 1-10 - makes you faster!
.gm on/off - makes you invicible
.gm fly on/off - allows you to fly
.tele [where to teleport]

.npc spawn also might work on your dream guide, or you could at least chat with her/him/it. I especially hope this would work, I would really like to meet my dream guide.

How am I supposed to do Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start in a dream? My cheat codes are oldschool.

That's a fantastic way to control your dreams, I'm glad you've found something that works for you

I've never been able to bring up a keyboard when I tried this, sadly

Not addicted enough...

For a similar suggestion, you could bring up a keyboard to communicate with others if you're having trouble talking~

well, you need to summon a NES controller.

Or, if you're a chat addict, you could also do stuff like this:

/summon (insert person/thing here)
/teleport (location)
/invincible
/superpower (power(s) of choice)

You get the idea...this may work better for people like me.

Haha, yes! I've done this before but I wasn't lucid at the time. It really is a great way to convince yourself and make things happen; if you haven't tried it, you must!
