      Intreguing experiences?

I visit these forums for a few reasons. To expand my knowledge in the aspect of Lucid Dreaming and Dreaming in general, and to share experiences with other members. Problem is I've only had a few lucid dreams so far and I'm not disappointed but maybe someone could give me some background or share their personal experiences. I looked on the tasks of the year and it seems insane! My first lucid dream I was able to control my own actions to an extent and it was so invigorating that I will remember it for the rest of my lifetime. The only way to begin to explain the feeling after waking up was that I felt almost short of euphoric.

Which techniques gave you the most memorable results? I've kept a dream journal off and on but I never stayed consistent. This may be half the battle at first it seems. I'm hoping to hear a lot of people's stories and overall experiences as a whole. If not, I'll still be searching around the site for answers to questions I don't have yet.
      Composure is key.

It gets easier with experience! At the start I was happy enough to just look around and the idea of actually doing stuff seemed huge. However now I'm working on the task of the year, and did one part today. Don't feel overwhelmed, just go at your own pace and it will come together.

Dream journalling is surprisingly important, I've found. I stopped for just over a week and my recall hit rock bottom. Even if you're not remembering your own dreams, it's a good idea to read somebody else's DJ here on the site for inspiration. (Feel free)

As for best techniques? I like WILD. Pick a free morning and get up earlier than usual stay up for a couple of hours, then go back to bed- or wait till early afternoon. Relax, stay still, don't focus on anything, good times. I use a variation of Yoshi's WILD Technique, but I leave out steps 2 and 2.5. The more you do it, the easier it gets- and sleep paralysis can be great fun! To stabilise at the start of a dream, I do the hand RC and touch things with rough surfaces.

If there's anything you want to know, ask away. People here are very helpful.
