      How I control my dreams

Relax Relax Relax! After attaining lucidity I usually take a moment to collect my self and relax, look around and take the world in. In order to Control my dreams I simply see it happen. A simple example would be looking at my hand and seeing my fingernails grow. For those of you who have ever tried telekinesis it is very similar. Look at the object (dont focus intensily only gaze upon it) and with a clear picture in your mind of what you want to happen, make it happen. Unfortunatly that is the best way I can describe it. You relax and EXPECT it to happen there for it does. Remaining confident and calm really helps me alot.....

Now here is something 95% of the dreamers forget. Its a good point because a lot of people get lucid and in their excitement they start doing whatever. Dont, take it easy..its good for your stability

Even better for your stability, dont control =P

I notice that not controlling gives me much longer LDs then the average person would. But some of you know my perspective on control, its not the best thing out there. Exploring your dreams can be much more interesting, much more

LucidStunna, thank you for reminding me to keep control of my emotions.. it's so easy to feel that rush of excitement when you realize that you're lucid!

Lucius, thank you for reminding me to sometimes relinquish control of what happens in the dream! Now that I think about it.. my LDs are much longer when I just go with the flow.

      Thank you both!

I have'nt done this, but will surely give it a try. I'm all about extending my LD's, normally I freeze time to accomplish this. But next time i'll just explore. But man control is addictive especially after you got it down. Another thing I do to help maintain clarity/control I remind my self out loud of where I physically am in real life. I'll say to myself "remember your on the couch, or next to your girlfriend in bed" This helps me to relax more and further drives home the point that I can do W-H-A-T-E-V-E-R
