      I had a dream that my girlfriend was pregnant and her mother was happy about her being pregnant.

      What it does NOT mean is that she really is pregnant. (Or so I believe, anyway).

      Birth in dreams can be a metaphor for new beginnings. Depending on how you felt about this news in the dream (happy, shocked...) will give you a clue to how you feel about your life changing. Her mother could equally refer to your mother - so whatever this new life will be, you think it will meet with her approval.
