The End Of The World

Last night I had an AWESOMELY VIVID DREAM. But the thing is that it scared the living shit out of me! DREAM: I find my self at school, doing what I normally do. It seemed like a perfectly normal day. After the final bell rung to signal that class was over, I left school and went home. Later that night I went out side because it was cold out and it felt nice. I saw a beautiful wide open sky and the stars. Next thing I noticed is that the sun was out (which was weird since it was night time) and it was flashing weird colors. I thought it was like a dying star at first but then there was a giant explosion far off into the distance and the shock wave from the explosion came closer and closer towards earth and I could feel my heart beating faster. I closed my eyes knowing that I would die any moment only to find that I was still alive. Everything covered in ash, I thought that I was the only person left on earth. I walked around confused at how this could be and I found my Uncle still alive under some rubble. The sky was pitch black and I could hardly see anything. Then I see the sun appear again except there are 2 and they are much smaller. The sky was still black and it was really hot outside. I noticed soon that they are not parts of the sun but meteors aiming straight for me. I got scared again but realized that at that exact time, I would rather be dead than alive. I braced for impact only to wake up at the moment of impact. Just wondering but could someone interpret this for me. I always believed dreams had something to do with emotion or something since I interpret my own dreams sometimes but this one had me stumped. P.S. I took melatonin last night if that could contribute to weird dreams.

Ha, that reminds me of a nuclear blast! Or maybe some kind of solar flare that blows up all of your electronics? Idk, but that sounds a bit odd. If you're really unlucky, I'm right and one of those two things (or both! ) will happen. If you are lucky, then it was probably just a dream that really had no meaning.

I think it's too simplistic to link dreams to emotions. I would say that both dreams and emotions (and fantasies and intuition) are manifestations of unconscious thought processes, although emotions tend to be linked to our involuntary responses to activating events so it depends what we mean by unconscious. Anyhoooo. Running with emotions here, in the broadest sense of the word, I shall respond emotionally. When I read your dream, I also pick up the fear, right to the point of some imagined impact of the two fireballs. Looking back, the cold sun leaves me feeling like I'm seeing a massive containment of energy, a huge potential. I'm overawed by this, transfixed, perhaps afraid beyond feeling afraid like a frightened rabbit might be. And, like a frightened rabbit, you took the full blast of the subsequent impact, and even saw the two lights coming towards you. (If I believed in karma I'd suggest that that rabbit was your last life). It's possible that you were waking anyway and the two lights were in fact from your eyes. The dream certainly sounds like it had that vividness of being just on the edge of waking. In which case, the "sun" might be the first signs of your consciousness/ego coming into view, and how powerful it is. I think the real world IS a scary place, with all of its responsibilities and worries, viewed from the relative comfort of a dream. But I dunno. Sometimes we just have to keep with the wonderment of a vivid dream. Just because it's vivid it doesn't mean it has any special meaning over and above a more dull dream about being late for school or missing a bus.

Actually, the meteor metaphor is a mountain of fire, etc., means a prophet sent. This metaphor is used in scripture and in Nostradamus. (He even has my birthday, hair color, etc right!) All I can say, is that the sun is up, and two witnesses are suppose to be sent. Guess we shall see. Your dream has actually been recorded a long time ago. However, it is not the end of the world, but it is about time to start waking up.

Haha wow did you read my dream journal before you went to bed? XD Sounds A LOT like the dream I had in the beginning of October. Sorry, I don't really do interpretations but I thought that was really interesting how our dreams were so similar. I'm interested in hearing the interpretations. Spoiler for Long dream: Total Eclipse of the Heart (End of the World) I was sitting outside on the porch with my mother. The sky was a beautiful solid blue without a cloud in the sky - it was a great day. Looking up to the sky, I saw what looked like a star getting closer and closer. I dismissed it as an airplane at first, until maybe hundreds of these little twinkling stars appeared in the sky. My mother and I both looked to the sky in wonder. When they began shooting across the sky, we realized that it was a meteor shower! Some of them were getting really far into our atmosphere before burning up. We could actually see the flames arising from them. Those brave stars looked like orange fireworks. There was one star in particular though, it was coming towards us very slowly...and it wasn't burning up. As it neared us, the star turned black and round. It looked like a solar eclipse in the sky. Mom told us (I apparently had a friend over) to go seek shelter in the basement. My friend and I did so, and by the time we were safe, the ground shook and rumbled. The meteor had crashed into the Earth. We came back upstairs. We were now on the school grounds, and the meteor shower was growing with intensity. There was a HUGE 'meteor' in the sky, it looked like a solar eclipse from hell. It took up about 1/4 of the sky and just hung there ominously. We were all told to take shelter in the school cafeteria. They split us up by last name. I wanted to sit by someone where I could just wrap my arms around and hug them, because I was pretty scared. A guard didn't allow me to sit by anyone I knew. I was sad. Within the last moments we had, before the gravity of Earth pulled the giant meteor towards us, the officials alerted us of our possible fates. Sitting in the cold dark, we were told that the chances of our survival were minimal, and even if we did survive we would most likely be blinded. The officials weren't able to finish their sentences before we heard loud crashes and bangs. The meteor was coming towards us. I awoke sometime later. I was covered in ashes. The roof of the cafeteria had fallen in, dead bodies surrounded me in the dusty dark air. I was alone...Everything, even the corpses, were covered in a thick layer of gray ash. I waded through the piles of ash, which sometimes amounted to over 2 feet in depth, and climbed into the remains of the other room where the other half of the student populace was. It was dark in that room too. If there was any light, it was dimmed instantly by the amount of ash that hung in the air. I found someone I knew. He was laying down. His eyes were closed, but they were moving. He was dreaming. "Wake up, the end is over," I whispered in his ear. His eyes opened, and he smiled. "I'm going to get out of here," I said quietly, "Do you want to come with me?" "No, thanks." He said. He stretched for a moment then looked around, feeling the same creepy vibes as I did. I walked to the end of the room before finding a door. I pushed it open and piles of black ash fell out of it. Knowing it was the only way out, I pushed through the ash. We were now underground. There was at least 20 feet of ash piled up on top of the school. When I finally got out of the pit of ash, I found that the world was beautiful. It had renewed itself. A stream of black ash was flowing through a valley of painted cliffs. There was a man in the river, he told me to come with him. Who was he and where was he going? The current in the river was rough, but I followed him until he disappeared. On the river banks, there were piles of trash, such as forks, clothes, etc. I took what was useful to me and went back to our colony. When I returned, more people were awake. I showed them what I had found, but they rejected it. They said that they didn't want to leave the confines of the cafeteria. They said it wasn't safe. I wished that they had come with me, because it was beautiful.
