Post Are my dreams preventing me from becoming lucid?

Last night whilst dreaming, I convinced myself that I was dreaming. Then someone approached me and said "No you are not", and I believed them straight away. A few minutes into the dream, I remember myself warping things using my mind. I think "am I dreaming?" then instantly shake the thought off and continue using super-human abilities.

What the hell? Does this mean anything?

Sounds like you were on the verge of waking, when dreams seem to be especially wacky.

As someone for whom lucidity doesn't come easily, I would say that our dreams seem to conspire to stop us becoming lucid. The number of times I've believed I was writing a dream down in my notebook only to wake properly is unreal. Hard to say if the super-human experiences have any particular impact. Hopefully someone with more lucid ability than me can answer.
