My ex-best friend is in every one of my dreams

Last summer I lost my best friend. She didn't die or anything, just something really bad happened and it was all my fault and I miss her like crazy. Ever since I lost her she started appearing in my dreams. She didn't appear in just a few dreams, she appears in every single one. In the dreams we're always acting like we used to in real life, and all the dreams take place at my old school.
Last night I had a dream that we were outside my old school and she was waiting for her mom to pick her up. I said, "I should go, you're mom hates me."
      "No, she doesn't." she replied.
"Yes she does, I remember what she said that night. Remember we're not allowed to see each other ever again?"
I don't know why I didn't become lucid in this dream, you'd think since she's in everyone of my dreams that it would be easy for me to become lucid, but no.
I don't remember what happens after that, & I wake up.
I know it's normal for people that you miss to show up in your dreams, but why does she show up in every single one of mine? I haven't had one dream so far this year that she wasn't in.

Hi there - my name is Ray Harris & I have 40 years of experience in dream interpretation. Your dream is based on internal guilt, and while the dreams will eventually fade, your subconscious is placing great importance on an unresolved issue, hence the repetitive nature of your dreams. My suggestion is that you take the courage to make right with your friend - say sorry if need be, but do something about the situation, or you will find it will become an internalised issue and crop up in your life at a later date. It seems that your friend is connecting with you on a higher level, and sending you the message that she is willing to talk. Give it a try at least. Regards, Ray.
