I had this dream last night that "The Russians" were building a theatre in Boston. (Couldn't see any "Russians" but somehow that was what I knew was going on.) I could see the two buildings in question... they looked like a smaller building on one side of the street composed of two parts, single story, and across the street a larger building composed of five parts, double story. All of the parts of both buildings used to be restaurants. They looked like antique buildings maybe even of Chinese design, sort of like Chinese temples. They were being gutted and completely renovated. The smaller building was to become a Chinese restaurant , I think. you would sit in that building and have your meal and watch across the street or across the lane the show or theatre production being presented in the larger 2-storey building.

There was no angst or frustration in this dream... it wasn't one of those dreams when you are in a hurry to complete a task and you keep coming across delays or anything like that. Nor did I attach anything to "the Russians" ... didn't even cross my mind that that was odd, or concerning. It almost felt as if this was taking place one hundred years ago and it might have been "White Russians" (eg aristocracy) that had come to Boston and were building themselves a nice little theatre. For whatever reason i kept running over and over the scenario in my mind (in my dream) but I wasn't sure what I was trying to discover or solve for. Usually when I repeat a dream over and over in the same night I am trying to "solve for" something. But I didn't know what I was trying to solve for in this dream.

Would love any help interpreting this dream.

In case it is helpful to provide some cultural reference points: I am a caucasian American and live in Australia, have an executive job, and have lived outside the US for about 20 years, including in China, and I speak Chinese. My family is from the Massachusetts area. My wife is of Taiwanese origin, and we speak Chinese at home. We have one child.
