Exclamation Dragons, death, betrayal and obligation.

I was in a large building. A store of some kind that reminded me a lot of Costco.

I was in a group of mostly women. If men were there, I didn't recognize or acknowledge them. Everyone was doing their own thing, shopping around. I walked to the meat cooler and began looking for a good steak. Something hit the builiding and it began to tremor. Suddenly it stopped. The lights flickered and went out. Everyone was screaming and running. I stood still and watched, trying to make sense of what was happening. Another tremor. The shelves began to fall, people were crushed beneath them screaming for help - some went to their aid and met the same fate. Everyone moved to the back of the store, huddled in a group of about 40. I still stayed where I was. A group of men came through the door with flashlights. As they came over the threshold, another large crack sounded through the building. Something came down upon them and slaughtered each and every one of them. You could hear the screaming and running, bones crunching and it was very hard to listen to. I ran for the group, terrified and confused. They were cowering and crying, some were praying. Then I saw what it was....dragons. Or something like them. 20 feet high, winged and reptilian. At least 15 of them were in the store. I started to scream as they advanced toward us. Most of the dragons began ripping apart the steel shevles and tearing apart the already dead bodies. One made it to the group and began biting at us, ripping apart the people around me. I was terrified and couldn't move. It looked at me and then started it's attack again. Blood was everywhere, along with limbs and gooey bits of meat. It wasn't eating them, just killing. Rats started pouring off the shelves around us and running for the door. It was horrifying. This went on for what seemed like hours. It was getting cold, people were starving and the dragons were leaving us alone as long as we didn't move too much and stayed in the corner. I saw some blankets and packaged food (the corner we were in had nothing). The dragons were not in my line of sight so I decided to take my opportunity and attempt to grab supplies. I moved out of the group being as fast and careful as possible. I made it to my destination undetected. I grabbed the blankets and what food I could fit in my hands. As I looked up, ready to head back less then a foot away from me was a dragon. It's mouth was open and it's eyes were fixed on mine. I couldn't move. It circled around me very slowly. I could feel the fear in my bones and felt my legs give in. I dropped to my knees - an involuntary reaction. The dragon screamed at me, the noise shook my ear drums and the very building. Suddenly I was surrounded by all of them. I closed my eyes and regretted ever having ventured from the group. Another roar. I felt movement behind me but I wouldn't dare look. Suddenly I heard the the impact of teeth on teeth. Ripping flesh and yowling. I looked up and ran. I ran for my life. Back to the group. They were screaming at me to leave, pushing me away. I would lead the dragons back to them, they said. A knife penetrated my gut and I fell to my knees. I lay on the ground and felt two pairs of hand pulling me away from the warmth of the group. Cold concrete soaked in my blood. My vision was blurred, my hearing faded, but I stayed awake long enough to see the dragon come and the slaughter begin. He ripped the traitors apart, blood flying onto my dying body and the shrill screams of my former comrades, I smiled. It was almost over, I was going to finally die and leave this hell. I woke up feeling confused. I was hot and quite comfortable. The dragon had tended my wounds and I was fully healed. The beast had bonded to me and cared for me all this time. Curled around me to cushion my weak body from the Earth. We were outside. I could see the ruins of the building and wondered what became of everyone.....were they all dead? I stood up and began to walk. The dragon never left my side. We were walking through a bright forest. The dragon ran ahead and I followed him. We came to a clearing. In this clearing were huts and make-shift tents, fires and children. A village! I saw an older woman and greeted her, asking where I was and other trivial questions one would expect to ask. She gave no answers all she said was "I'm glad you're finally awake". I walked onward, had some food and water. The dragon ushered me to a hill. Suddenly a pained and worried look filled it's face. It began to run. I followed but it quickly went out of sight. The dragon came back and shape-shifted into a white horse. I climbed on top of it and he started running through the woods, darting through trees at top speed. We came to another hill, this one overlooking a pristine beach. I could see people in the shallow water. A woman and 4 men. She was on her knees and they were beating her, taunting her with knives to her throat and drowning her under the water. She was crying and begging for mercy. "I don't know", she kept saying over and over again. Enraged and full of vigor and self-righteousness I jumped off my horse and ran down, screaming for them to stop. They advanced towards me, swords drawn with crooked smiles. "Here we go, this is the one we need" One of the men grabbed me, I started swinging but only then did I remember that I was unarmed. Ripped to my knees by my hair, one of the men ran his blade through the neck of the young woman beside me. I looked up and saw my horse raise it's front hooves in the air. "Change" I yelled to it - but he just kept whinnying and rearing in the air, shaking his head and pleading to me with those eyes. "Where are they", a man asked. I said nothing, felt the blade on my throat. That's when I awoke from my dream.

Any ideas? I remember every detail of this dream - I swear I even experienced smells.
It's been a long time since I've had such a vivid dream.

      That's a mighty long paragraph

I don't have any interpretation to offer, but it was fun to read. Definitely an epic dream.

Haha, yeah I just sort of started typing with little regard for proper writing structure. Just had to get it "on paper" before I forgot about it. However, the dream was so vivid even days after I can remember most of the details.

Well if anyone see's something relevant within my description and would be willing to try interpreting it, I would be very thankful.
PM's are welcome if you don't feel comfortable writing here......

      Thanks everyone,
