Before I describe the dream, I'll give you a little background on me. I'm a 29 year old guy, I've been living in Chicago for the last three years, I am a graphic designer, and I barely ever remember my dreams. In my entire life, I remembered about 4 dreams [one of which I have since forgotten other than intense feelings of anxiety and fear], and they were all incredibly vivid. Any other morning, I remember nothing at all. It's usually as if I made one really long blink.
On to the dream...
This dream happened about 6 months ago or so, and I'm still searching for the meaning.
It was nighttime. There was moonlight illuminating the area, but I don't remember actually seeing a moon in the sky. I was standing about 20-25 feet away from the edge of a cliff. I remember the ground of very firm and covered in short grass and clovers. I never looked at the area behind me, but I remember knowing there were trees and bushes behind and to either side of me in a half-circle shape.
Standing near the edge of the cliff was a Caucasian girl somewhere in the range of 12-15 years old. She had brown wavy hair with a head band. She wore shorts and a t-shirt. everything she wore looked like a light blue or light periwinkle color in the moonlight.
I suddenly felt anxiety and an impending sense of dread, so I call out to her, "Be careful, or you might fall off the edge!" I started moving toward her cautiously.
The girl turned to look at me. It was no one I knew in the slightest. She had no expression on her face. Suddenly, she sneezed very hard and fell back off the cliff. I ran to her and slid on my stomach the last several feet to the edge and reached out to her. I knew for sure I had her in my hand and the fear dissipated. Then I heard a snap and she continued falling, screaming into the mist below the cliff's edge.
I was in shock. I looked at my hand, and all I had was her brown eyeball, staring at me with its optic nerve dangling between my fingers. She had sneezed so hard, her eye flew out of her skull and that is what I grabbed onto.
That's when I woke up, freaking out, still seeing the eyeball staring back at me. It gave me a lot of anxiety for after waking.
If anyone out there can help me interpret this, I would be incredibly grateful. Thank you in advance.
