      Confused

Hello, as you can probably see I am new to the forum but think I was definately visit regularly. I went to a couple different forums and this is the one I fell more comfortable at for some reason, anyways.

I feel slightly embarrassed about this but it is getting to bothersome and I find myself needing help from anyone who can.

For the past week and a half I would say I have had the same dream with no changes to it that I can see. This is first odd because I NEVER remember my dreams. Everyday when I wake up I can't get it off of my mind also I wake up feeling confused and almost as if I am suppoise to do something. Anyways off to the dream (I want to apologize ahead of time if anything in this is "over the line" I am going to try to get it across the best way I can)

It starts I am at to a concert and I don't know who's it is, and I see an ex boyfriend of mine that I have not seen or talked to in roughly 7 years. He approaches me and tells me he is in love with me and we end-up "hooking-up" bouncing from place to place. At first we are at the concert then we are in my bestfriends old bedroom that she hasnt lived at for years it goes from there to outside at some sort of gathering. Throughout the whole dream he is afraid to let me out of his sight. I can remember all of this so easily. Even in my friends bedroom I can remember the pictures on the wall and the comforter on the bed (which were all there when she lived there) Any help with this would be appreciated

      Thanks

      Re: Confused

      hello Angel83. welcome to DreamViews.

I will offer as much help as I can, but honestly I am no dream interpretation expert. I've interpreted only a few dreams, but I'll try my best to help. I should start by saying that I (or anyone else) can't actually completely interpret a dream for you, only offer opinions, which may be wrong. dreams are very personal and the meaning depends on how you personally think and feel about things. (getting other people's thoughts can sometimes really help, though.) when you have a dream to interpret, the first thing you should do is be sure that you aren't quick to assume what things mean. for example, you shouldn't assume that just because you saw your ex-boyfriend in your dream, that it actually represents him. it may actually represent something else entirely, such as a problem, or some other aspect of your life. so, the dream could be talking about something in your life that you haven't seen in awhile, and maybe it should be considered important to you because in the dream it was so attached to you (wouldn't let you out of sight). I could be way off, alot depends on how you feel towards this person, how you felt about it all in the dream, etc. I just thought I would share some views to give you an example of how to approach dreams you want to interpret. you have to connect things in the dream to things in your life, find something they have in common.

I hope I've helped, if you have any other questions just...ask? I will try my best to answer.

      Ask lots of questions

Well, I of course, don't have much experience with dream interpretation either. I used to have a recurring nightmare all of the time before my dad got really sick mentally. In my dreams I kind of felt that something bad was going to happen to someone I loved, because I'd wake up every morning with a sick feeling in my stomach. Anyway, after my dad got sick, I stopped having the nightmares, so I assume that sub-consciously I noticed little things that were hinting that my dad would fall ill.

Anyway, I don't say that to scare you. I'm just saying that dreams can tell you something that, consciously, you haven't noticed. I also had a dream once that a girl, I liked when I was in highschool, snuck up on me and kissed me. I never thought that she felt that way about me and forgot about it all. Later, I found out that she did like me. Perhaps, sub-consciously, I noticed things that hinted about her feelings for me.

So, just ask yourself lots of questions and analize them. Ask yourself how you felt during the dream. Was there anything different about your ex-boyfriend? Was he acting differently? Why did you break up in the first place? Do you still have feelings for him? etc ...

Well, I hope that it all works out for you. Good luck!

I agree with both of the other posters. It is amazing how much more articulate and whitty our subconscious mind can be than our conscious mind. You are telling yourself something, probably important. Perhaps you are feeling lonely or more deeply you are acknowledgeing to yourself a regret about times lost. Meybe they were good times all around or a special person was there and as life has gone on you have crowded out those cherished memories.

Whatever it means it is you. I have had dreams that had elements beyond the normal in them, that some might call paranormal, but 99.99% of all my dreams are me talking to me. Whats amazing is that getting in touch with the part of me that makes dreams can sometimes feel like finding a lost love. It gives me hope of a guiding hand in my life, even if it is only me.

      Hope that helps.
