What could this dream possablly mean? (it gets freakier each day)

I have had this dream 11 times now in a row and everynite i see something new happens. But that is all i can really state so far.

I wake up in a dim lite room. Theres no lightbulb or window or candle. The only light is a crack in a door in front of me. On the stone cold floor is writings of alchmey and each day it looks like more symbols are there and are going from what looks like black paint to blood with a brush or something. I walk out the door and am blinded by a very bright light. When I can finally see the room I was in is gone. I look around and im in a field of dead black roses. The sky is red as blood and the smell of death and gunpowder is strong. I walk foward and The smell gets stronger and stronger. I am then startled because I hear church bells ringing (1 chime for each dream so last nite was the 11th days so 11 chimes). I turn around cause i hear footsteps and I see a man with no face (serrioslly like he never had a face its pure white skin there) he is got short black hair which is hard to see because he has a black hat on. He has a suit and tie (which his tie is red and his suit is black) his pants and shoes are black as well. He comes foward and I reconzie his names as (this parts freaky cause I dont no where this name comes from and I want to no) Tribly. I saw his name and he stops coming to me. Then every night he kills me in a differnt way sometimes he repeats the killing but of a new way. Each way was as followed.
      Night 1: He strangles me
      Night 2: He stabs me
Night 3: He Shoots me (pistol)
Night 4: He somehow controlls me and he makes me kill myself
Night 5: He disapears in thin air and then die from no air
Night 6: He shoots me again and again
Night 7: Strangles me with a pillow after punching me in the chest losing my air
Night 8: He ends up behind me cutting my neck with a knife
Night 9: He makes me kill myself again
Night 10: He taps his hand and I am somehow hit by something I couldnt see.
Night 11: He cuts me with a knife in the stomach and neck bleeding out.

At the end of every death I am always ending up by his feet. (Even Night 5) and he turns around and walks away and disapeears from sight. Then as my vison and hearing fades I hear the bells chime again.

That has been my dream lately and its starting to be a little scary because it happens EVERY single night now in a row.

P.S. off subject but how do i join the chat room?

1.) If this is for real and you're being honest, this is a twisted dream.. Sounds kind of crazy that you happen to remember your dreams each consecutive night and that it is the exact same thing without you becoming lucid to change anything. But I'll assume you're telling the truth. I would be scared to go to sleep if this was happening to me.
      2.) Are you lucid?
3.) If you are or can try to become lucid, you need to search deeper in this dream. Talk to Tribley and ask him what he wants from you. Pick a rose, turn a page of the book, or do something to explore the dream. Or, if you just want to stop having this dream because it is too freaky, try killing Tribley first or flying away.

      Freaky as hell

Okay this is freaky.... does the hat he's wearing look like this?

      http://ts1.mm.bing.net/images/thumbn...y-hat-pic1.jpg

Because that hat is called a "trilby" hat. And have you ever heard of shadow people or hat man? They are real shadow people that people hallucinate commonly from lack of sleep, in dreams, or on delerient drugs. Many elderly people suffering from dementia also describe these figures. You should read up on them. Who knows what they are, but it does seem funny that many people world-wide commonly describe seeing these figures.

Lucid means that you know you're dreaming. That's what most of this site is about lol realizing you're dreaming so you can play around in your dreams, control them, or learn more about your subconscious in them.

Did the guy look anything like that second picture I send you of the shadow hat man? Because that is a very common hallucination and many people who experiment with delirient drugs note that they have seen them, spoken with them, and believe that they are real beings. I don't know what I think of them, it's just eerie

Are you at least aware that you are dreaming in these dreams and you know that they aren't real?

All I could think of when you mentioned that he had a red tie is Agent 47 from the Hitman series if you ever played those, or seen the movie.

To be frank, my response will consist of snippets from a website, dreammoods.com. We haven't gotten to dream interpretation yet in my psychology class, so this is the best I can do. I hope this helps, and that this website may help you.

      About your dieing:
To dream of your own death indicates a transitional phase in your life. You are becoming more enlightened or spiritual. Alternatively, you are trying desperately to escape the demands of your daily life.

However, if this isn't the case...(As this dream does not seem to be taking a positive note.)

On a negative note, to dream that you die may represent involvement in deeply painful relationships or unhealthy, destructive behaviors. You may feeling depressed or feel strangled by a situation or person in your waking life. Perhaps your mind is preoccupied with someone who is terminally ill or dying. Alternatively, you may be trying to get out of some obligation, responsibility or other situation. You are desperately trying to escape from the demands of your daily life.

Alternatively, there is 'murder' and 'killing'.

To dream that you are murdered suggests that some important and significant relationship has been severed. You are trying to disconnect yourself from your emotions. The dream may also be about your unused talents.

To dream that you have been killed suggests that your actions are disconnected from your emotions and conscience. The dream refers to drastic changes that you are trying to make. There is a characteristic that you want to get rid of or a habit that you want to end within yourself. Killing represents the killing off of the old parts and old habits. Alternatively, the dream represents feelings of being let down or betrayed by someone in your waking life. You are feeling overwhelmed, shocked and disappointed.

Now it seems your killer has a name, as you stated, Tribly. There is a theory that there can be a connection between dream characters and real people or things. I will cite something that may seem silly: did you ever watch Home Improvement? At one point, Tim's wife dreamed of herself having an affair with Tarzan, and she was Jane. Notice a connection? Both Tarzan and Tim start with T, as does Jane and Jill start with J. Can you find any connecions between your dream character and someone you know/something? It could be that this person/thing has no place in your life has become some sort of stresser somehow.

Furthermore, we can also look at the other small symbols in your dream...

      Darkness
To dream that you are lost in the darkness denotes feelings of desperation, depression, or insecurity.

      Alchemy
To dream of alchemy suggests that you are going through a period of turmoil, inner transformation, and self-renewal. You are striving toward perfection. Although these may be tough and difficult times, it will have a positive outcome.

      Symbol
To see an unknown symbol in your dream indicates your ambivalence, confusion, or ignorance in a situation. Consider the shape of the symbol and what it reminds you of for additional significance.

      Roses
To see withered roses in your dream refers to the parting or absence of a loved one. Alternatively, it is symbolic of death or an end to something.

      The Color Black
Black symbolizes the unknown, the unconscious, danger, mystery, darkness, death, mourning, rejection, hate or malice. The color invites you to delve deeper in your unconscious in order to gain a better understanding of yourself. It also signifies a lack of love and lack of support.More positively, black represents potential and possibilities. It is like a clean or blank slate.

      Bells
To hear a bell in your dream represents a warning or a call to order. The ringing of the bell signals the beginning of something new. It may also be a way for your unconscious to prepare you for whatever is happening next.If the bell rings and never stops, then it suggests that you are experiencing extreme anxiety.

      A Stranger
To see a stranger in your dream signifies a part of yourself that is repressed and hidden.

Lastly, here we have the symbolism between a recurring dream...
Most dreams contain messages that serve to teach you something about yourself. However, soon after you wake up to go about your daily routine, you tend to quickly forget what you dream about. The message in recurring dreams may be so important and/or powerful that it refuses to go away. The frequent repetition of such dreams forces you to pay attention and confront the dream. It is desperately trying to tell you something. Such dreams are often nightmarish or frightening in their content, which also helps you to take notice and pay attention to them.

Recurring dreams are quite common and are often triggered by a certain life situation, transitional phase in life or a problem that keeps coming back again and again. These dreams may recur daily, once a week, or once a month. Whatever the frequency, there is little variation in the dream content itself. Such dreams may be highlighting a personal weakness, fear, or your inability to cope with something in your life - past or present.

The repetitive patterns in your dream reveal some of the most valuable information about yourself. It may point to a conflict, situation or matter in your waking life that remains unresolved or unsettled. Some urgent underlying message in your unconscious is demanding to be understood.

That's about all I can do....I hope this helped somehow!

      Sweet dreams!
      Sincerely,
      ~N

Nightmares, especially frequent or recurring ones, can often trigger lucidity. You ought to look into some of the techniques on this site and try them out. If you can use this nightmare to trigger lucidity then you should ask this guy why he's in your dreams, if he has a message for you, or what he represents. People who do this report that it will often stop the nightmares and not only that but solve whatever personal crisis was causing them in the first place.

I think you need to see a doctor about it - this sounds like it's beyond anything you could get help for on a message board.

Ok tbh, I don't really believe you. But I'm bored, so I'll sit here and type for a while.

This whole thing just sounds so strange... one nightmare each night, another chime added each time. Let's see... on aug 5th you were up to 11 chimes, so by now you're over 30. If this is true, then it works to your advantage, because it means each night it takes longer before he can kill you. Pretty soon it'll be more like you're just hearing these chimes through your dreams... your REM period will be over before he has time to appear.

I would have no trouble believing a nightmare character shows up and kills you every night, or even in every dream, which would be many times a night. But the chimes makes it pretty hard to swallow, plus the idea that you're able to clearly count them every time.

That plus your amazingly abrupt and dismissive responses to LudoSiren, who put a lot of time and effort into her post. You repeatedly said that you've never been in a relationship, but what shes talking about doesn't just mean boyfriend/girlfriend type relationships - friends and family, pets... these are all relationships. Responses like the ones you made above indicate that you're not thinking about what she wrote for more than the time it took to read it and type a quick response.

      Roses
To see withered roses in your dream refers to the parting or absence of a loved one. Alternatively, it is symbolic of death or an end to something.
      My Response:Sorry that hasnt happened
Another incredibly dismissive response!! That hasn't happened? She said it's "symbolic of an end to something", and your only response is "Sorry that hasn't happened"??!! Really??!!

And then when she used the example from Home Improvement you simply dismiss it again because your name doesn't start with a T!!???!! Her point wasn't that the first letter of the name has to be the same... it's much broader than that. She was indicating that you should be open minded and think about any possibly similarities with anyone.

      My Response:Sorry hasnt happened either.
      Apparently it hasn't.

And finally, your repeated assertions that this is killing you inside and outside, but yet you refuse to get any help of the kind that could actually do some good? And refuse to even consider any of the helpful responses people in here have made?

Sorry, but I just can't find it in me to care anymore. Good day sir.

      Thanks for the defenses, Dark
I think I'm going to continue to try and help though.
Seriously B, if your dream is having THAT MUCH of an effect, you NEED to see a doctor and/or psychologist RIGHT.AWAY. From the sound of things, something is making you sick. It might not actually BE your dream making you sick though. Your dream COULD be warning you. THAT COULD be the message that the dream is trying to send you. Consult with your doctor and a psychiatrist. If they can't find anything wrong with you, then I hate to recommend this...but see if it would be okay for you to start sleeping pills. Often, sleeping pills can surpress dreaming from what I've heard. at that point, wait it out for a bit. If NONE of these solve anything, you may be looking for a more paranormal answer. At this point, you will want to get in contact with a parapsychologist or someone of a high spiritual standing, like a Wiccan high priestess. I can't really recommend anyone as my personal guide is my friends uncle. Maybe look it up online or ask a regular psychology office. That's all I can really offer to help...

I forgot to add, but spiritually wise, you may have what we call "a bump in the night". He could be a ghost from your past, a troll, or a parasite. If you would like, I am a somewhat practiced christian-witch myself, and would be more than happy to perform a protection or an anti-nightmare spell and send it your way, if you are comfortable with that sort of thing.

In some shamanic dreamwork they talk about "dismemberment dreams". It is said that the shaman comes to the dreamer and takes them apart so that they can shift their assemblage point. This allows the dreamer a fuller experience of both waking and dreaming life. I don't know if this would apply to you.
