Thread: An Unremarkable Dream Which i Cannot Seem to Forget

Hello i have had a dream that felt of some significance to me and though it wasn't spectacularly abstract or full of odd or particularly confusing imagery it has made a mark and i keep recalling it as though it does mean something. It is not a recurring dream nor lucid but it is personally intriguing. Now the part i'm going to describe is the only clear part i can remember from a chain of dreams as i often have, each separated by a lapse in plot or setting and i feel is generally unrelated to the chain.

This section of dream begins after an interesting school day (of which i cannot recall) and so i find myself sliding a textbook into my backpack which is now almost unbearable to carry and thus making it hard for me to walk from the weight of it, but i tread heavily through the school grounds towards a south exit. The high school i'm in seems familiar to me in the dream but not in waking consciousness. The backpack begins to make my back sore as i exit the regular grounds, and as i leave the exit from the school there is a grassy descent as though the school is on a large hill. A path leads down towards the exit gates of the perimeter, but i don not follow it. I use my arms as a gorilla would to support myself and swing my weight forward to relieve my back stress and speeding my movement significantly, i even thought to myself in the dream "i must look like a big gorilla" (which is odd, i dislike gorillas) I look back to see the exiting crowd of highschoolers searching for a friend of mine who goes by the name of Charley, Finally i catch sight of her and continue on slowly as i expect her to eventually catch up to me. I'm now walking normally, the backpack and weight seem to no longer exist. I continue on, looking back occasionally but every time i look she's no closer even though i see she's clearly walking. Though she's quite far away as the hill seemed to be very long indeed i could hear chatter from the group she walked with, but no distinct words aside from them occasionally referring to her as Charley (Which only I do.) It puzzles me and i simply wait for her to catch up no longer treading on until she reaches me. I stand half watching and all waiting and when my back is turned towards her she simply passes me not acknowledging me in the slightest. (make note that we're now at the bottom of the hill) I catch up the four or five paces and speak to her to get her attention, she turns to me in a violent manner and verbally lashes out at me. I cannot remember the precise words but they were certainly hostile, But the general idea was that she was through with me and that i am nothing to her anymore followed by many other sharp and demeaning statements that caused me pain to my heart, the only things i can remember half clearly was that i'm something along the lines of "dramatic" and "crazy" which i can assure you of the two i'm only crazy. As she finishes flaming me she walks off and two boys follow her as though they were her companions, specifically two Mexican boys my age, one with spiked hair and of familiarity in my own life whom i met in high school years ago, and another muddled character whom was unfamiliar and must've been a dream fabrication. They pass me and look at me with cruel smiles and join her as they disappear into the crowd of teenagers through the gates while i look on heart broken and heavily angered.

Now that is more or less part one of this dream because it chains off into another set of dreams that are unrelated aside from the beginning. Let me tell you the next relevant half which is much shorter and less detailed.

Outside the school gates across the street is a large obstacle course unlike anything in reality, more like a large puzzle maze. Charley and her companions join a group and enter the puzzle and i follow suit to confront her for earlier but i'm at least 10 minutes behind (i didn't see her enter as my self but as an all knowing 3rd person) now i make easy work of the puzzle and catch up to the group and find that she and her companions are not there, not from solving it, not from leaving simply vanished after that my focus and the entire dream changes.


Notes: Charley was/is my best friend whom i have known for 4 years and i'm madly in love with obviously I've been doomed to friend zone, but as of late I've been trying to get past that with my advances and they are well received though she wont say yes or no, and it is out of character to be so cold towards me. Neither of us are in high school anymore though that is where we met but in the dream it was as if we were of current age and life experience. The sky was dark and cloudy in the dream, oddly enough that's how the sky was this morning. waiting for her was something i did everyday after school to go to her house and was completely in the norm. any other details you may need, just ask.
