But there was this harness system like bungee cords that just went under both arms and relied on your arm strength for safety... Totally strange but still couldn't get to our floor after a few scary attempts.*What could this mean?*
Do hotels symbolize anything? I have so many dreams in hotel settings...
Thanks
This is what I typed up for you yesterday:
While you hold on for the ride (the bungee), your pathway is being decided in rapid and frustrating fashion as you pass through various states of mind, brief and temporary, although lofty (if I can judge by the height of the floors and their numbers). The 16th floor is your intent (or calling) for a dharmic path. It is the floor you never reach in the dream. The rapid, dramatic ascent shows a tendency toward a manic method of progress and may be the cause of never stopping at the 16th, Dharma. This may be the problem presented in the dream, which suggests that the solution is to take a more moderate, balanced approach. In fact, the 18th floor indicates balance, so it is possibly the answer toward reaching the dharmic path or universal consciousness. You reach the 16th by first visiting the 18th, "expansion through balance of the heart." It is possible that karmic influences, the "super fancy hotel," representing luxury, and the lobby, representing a lower, earthy phase, both which may be materialism in your associations, are the opposing force that keep the lift in motion against your intentions toward dharma.
The information you added was that the number of floors was 216. This echoes my earlier interpretation. Two, like eight, is a number of balance. Two is more about sharing, give and take, so that describes a more specific path of finding "expansion through balance of the heart." 16 is either a promise of what is to come or a push in that direction.
Good luck and many blessings.
