Hi everyone! I made an account just to ask for your help with this kind of dream I keep having, but I look forward to being an active contributor in the future . Anyways here it goes:
I constantly share dreams with a similar theme relating to movement. They all start off the same way: I might be doing something trivial like walking a path or buying groceries. Or maybe things are a little more exciting, like I'm participating in a race or something. I can walk and run fine at the beginning of the dream, but at some point in the middle, the ground loses most of its friction and gravity lowers by a lot. Moving is much like trying to run on the bottom of the pool where your feet desperately scrape at the floor to little effect. Each step sends me up quite high due to the gravity too and I have to wait 5 seconds to come back down to the floor to take my next step. Also, I see everyone else around me moving fine. No one notices my problem. In the dreams, I usually end up finding some anchor to "pull" myself through the air. Like in the grocery store I would grab onto shelves and pull myself through the aisles, my feet dangling behind me. Or in the case that I'm outdoors, I claw at the ground with my hands, trying to get a hold of something just so I can pull myself to where I want to go.
During these dreams, I feel intensely frustrated because I cant get traction on the floor. When I'm floating up and down I feel annoyed and just want to get back on the ground. Floating gets a little disorienting too sometimes because I sometimes tumble through the air.
I've been getting these kinds of dreams for years, but I'm no good at dream interpretation. If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it. After all this time, I really want to know what my brain is trying to tell me!
