Quill-horns growing from head in dreams

Hello! Normally I can find the answers I'm looking for online.. But this one has me stumped.

I've been having dreams lately that would involve me talking to people or friends about various
topics ranging from their careers to just generic stuff. The strange thing is my head. Alongside my
normal hair are two... Horns? I guess of porcupine quills on either side. In the first dream I cut
them back and shaved my head. Shortly after shaving my head in real life.
They've been slowly growing back in each dream they're in.. And when my hair was long, they weren't
AS noticable, but still there. I've read that porcupine dreams usually signify emotional defences,
but I feel like since I'm the one with quills as horns there is something else up.. Any ideas?

I kind of am guessing like antennas, ur listening a lot in dreams, picking up information maybe as a defense mechanism. Cutting them maybe you are ashamed of growing defense mechanisms.

I also feel like the word u used, quill, is also an old school form of a pen. They aren't like horns if they are like porcupine needles, kind of both writing something, and listening. In your dream you are maintaining them and they aren't like growing too fast. So I get the sense that you have control over it in the long run
