      Gang warfare.

The air was dark and dank in the cramped space of my seperate garage I have been transforming into my room. Somewhere into the dream I caught a glimpse of my mother's biege SUV with a few Mexican gangsters snooping around it. My stomach wrenched and I knew we were in some serious shit. They each wore different colors of bandannas and one of them was carrying a large axe. I vaguely remember sprinting into my house and informing my father of the situation, he then ran out with me towards the backyard and we confronted the gang, one of them pointing the axe at my chest. The dream ends.

In dreams vehicles, especially when they are stationary, represent people. This dream would indicate a certain anxiety that your mother is attracting certain intrusive attentions from strangers. Not necessarily Mexican, as the Mexican Nationality of the 'gangsters' may simply be a subconscious 'short-hand' for the metaphorical meanings of 'dark and sinister' (the Subconscious Mind has not yet learned to be totally politically correct).

You and your father acting to protect your mother is a natural instinct for defense. But often in History, many of the Barbarian Tribes had learned that mothers could be replaced with wives, and wives with other wives, and even children with other children, and so would often hesitate to expose themselves to danger in order to defend their women folk and offspring. But the more Civilized a people become, the more they consider the importance of protecting their women and hearth.

But looking at the ease at which Barbarians will surrender their females, we can see the inverse of that dynamic in the inclination for the Barbarian Male to make an effort to capture new females. Having lost their original females, they soon experience the urge to reacquire new stock. So it is engrained in the Barbarian Mindset to be somewhat predatory and acquisitive concerning the fairer sex. Likewise, Civilized people have grown to be somewhat weary of trusting Barbarians, or any strange people, when in proximity to their females.

so it should be a common enough anxiety dream for a Civilized Person, to dream of predatory barbarians skulking about ready to make off with Mom or Wife. There does not have to be anything prophetic about it. Certainly, if Mom is still anywhere close to her prime, there would in fact be enough hints of strange men sniffing around, as today there is no purely Civilized blood anywhere, and probably most people have an embarrassingly high degree of barbarism in their genes.

The car was empty, Leo. They were merely trespassing and wishing to bash the window in and steal it, or so the intent was felt in the dream.

Although, the major difference between this dream and the one where a knife entered my breathing cavity, I did not run away, I ran into the fray to defend my honor and my home.

P.S. yeah, that is a pretty seemingly pretentious and racist dream scenario, but keep in mind, I live in Texas.
