Please Please Please give me some help understanding.

      Hello everyone.

I am new to the forums, and would like to say I signed up for this account with no motive at all other than meeting new friends and taking part in some deep spiritual conversation. This is not the case however, as I do have a very specific reason for signing up today.

I had a dream yesterday, which doesn't necessarily confuse me, rather than just stick out in my mind as something I absolutely need to understand. I have had several premonitions in the past that have materialized through my dreams, so putting stock in my dreams, and remembering them is something I've learned to do over time. Usually I can derive meaning from my dreams in any circumstance. This however, is an unusual case. I know this has to be something that I need to straighten out, as it is not subtle or chalk full of symbolism (I do understand there is some).

The dream starts as I'm on a date with an amazingly attractive Asian female (Stay with me now, I promise it gets more interesting). The date is actually taking place at my current residence, which happens to be my sisters house, and I use the term date loosely, as we are basically just hanging out and enjoying each others conversation and company. My grandfather then starts basically stalking us with a guitar and a chorus of grunts and hums to the music. Now, I must say my grandfather never knew how to play guitar, and he is currently in a nursing home with an extremely advanced case of Alzheimers.

Although this happens periodically throughout our time together, The girl and I still enjoy each others company, and the conversation seems to be fantastic. We're both having an excellent time. When it comes time for her to leave, I walk her to her car. She tells me she has forgotten something inside the house, and suspiciously, I let her go back in without following. When she reemerges, she is visibly angry. I inquire as to what's wrong, or what happened, she gets into her car, and the only words she tells me as she leaves is; "if you want me, I need you to fight for me."

Now, I know I have a verbal mind, as I think in sentences and not visually. This could possibly explain why I remember the line so vividly, but it is the only bit of dialogue I can remember from the dream at all. I could get into the real life context of this dream, which I could say may be pertinent to understanding. The truth is, I just don't know though. I am going to leave it at that for now, until I can see if someone is legitimately going to try and help me figure this one out lol.

Thank you for reading if you did, and I would love to hear some insights.
PLEASE HELP! THIS IS GOING TO DRIVE ME INSANE!

I am assuming from your description that you do not actually know this girl in real life? Do you have a significant other in your life right now at all? Depending on the answers to these questions she may represent someone specific or just a generic representation of a special girl or of a relationship. Let's assume for a moment that she is thre as a personified representation of "a relationship" in general, then the message could be that if you want to have or keep a relationship you have to fight for it, you have to put in an effort into making a relationship happen and making it last. And that is true I have found of relationships in my life: they are not just something we can have and take for granted, we have to actively work on keeping a relationship alive and on developing it further or else it will not work out. There are distractions throughout life (such as your grandfather with the guitar) but it is important to not let the distractions distract one from the goal of having and nurturing relationships - and btw the relationship could be just a friendship, it applies to any relationship between two human beings. She forgets something in the house, does this mean that something is forgotten in the relationship, something important is missing, and let's not forget it. But you do not join her to go back into the house, and this could mean that you feel that you are not actively enough engaged in ensuring that what was forgotten is regained in relationship, and thus the message to you that you have to fight for it, you have to put in an effort, you have to be actively engaged, or else the other will perceive you as not caring enough, and that will put a relationship at risk. Does that sound right to you? If not, please disregard, and look for another interpretation.

This more or less may be right on.

No, I've never met this girl in real life. And no, I don't have a significant other.

It makes even more sense when looking at it in that perspective as well. I've recently begun a regiment of extremely, extremely rigorous diet and exercise in an attempt to better myself. Taking this perspective it would kind of play into that, with my subconscious basically giving advice to my conscious.

I didn't volunteer that in the original post though, as I'm not even sure that's possible?

One way I can tell a premonition from an ordinary dream is certain ques I get in my dreams, in my case being a light copper haze that surrounds the vision. So unless you know your own ques it probably isn't a premonition or anything.

The Asian woman represents your desire, perhaps for the exotic. Maybe that is why you are dieting..? Being in your current residents may be that you feel that you are "stuck in a rut." Maybe, perhaps, you desire your own place, or a better position in life. The date, being casual, may represent the type of relationship you seek with a partner. You don't want to be with anyone fancy or fake, but someone you can chill with. You may want to be comfortable with this person, and not be fake yourself, so your subconscious is presenting you a scenario for that situation. Your grandfather playing the guitar, whom is not good at it, and following you around can mean you want your relationship to be understanding with your family issues; and you are being reminded my your subconscious not to give up family issues for your own happiness too much. Especially with your grandfather, who may not have much time left in this existence.

When you let the woman pick up her things by herself, this may mean you are not doing enough to show you'd be a good mate, perhaps. It's true that many women of today enjoy independence, but they still enjoy being treating like they're special to you. Your dreams may be telling you not to take a back seat position in relationships, but to be a bit more bold (speculating). When she went to get her stuff this may represent that you have to leave a bit of yourself in each person you meet, and you must let them leave something in your life, or something to that effect. When she was mad and said "...you have to fight for me" this sort of reconfirms what I said earlier. You may need to step up more in your situation to get what you want, or you may lose it all. "fighting" means willing to take the punches, willing to make mistakes, to get results.

As a break down, your dream is trying to figure out how to get what you want. You may need to try a little harder, perhaps, and be willing to make mistakes to get what you want. It may not be necessarily a relationship, but something "foreign" to you like a new job, a new apartment, a new lifestyle, etc. You need to also keep family in mind: don't go too far in life and leaving family in the process. I hope this brought you insight.
