      being someone else

I had a dream that I was walking around completely fine like I was myself, but then I looked into a mirror and I come to find out I was somebody else. Although I was someone else I was happier being that person than myself. I still sounded like myself and everything just the appearance was different. I also don't know who that person is.

I think the key to understanding this dream may be:

This implies that maybe you are not happy or content being yourself. Maybe your dream is asking you: Would you be happier being someone else? What is it about being you that you are not happy about? What do you need to change in order to be happier? It's probably not (just) your appearance - the dream simplified that a bit. It could be that all that needs to change is your attitude about yourself: if you accept yourself the way you are will that solve the issue, if not then figuring out what needs to be improved may be in order.

I at times have dreams not being myself as well. Sometimes they are due to self esteem issues. Sometimes they are caused by fantasizing based on a book or movie I watched or read. Sometimes it is because the emotions in the dream would be too intense unless I distanced myself. And other times it is because the dream is metaphorical, and I am not myself because things are not what they appear in that dream. So there are different reasons why one may dream of not being oneself.
You may say I'm a dreamer.
