Hey forum!
First I'd like to mention that I've never been into dream interpretation, but I just really need an opinion on this dream.
I dreamed this actually a long time ago (like 2 months?) but it still pops up in the back of my mind every once in a while. Since I like to write sometimes, I wrote it down when I woke up.
The dream takes place on a forest glade, the nature seems somewhat dried up.
There's a man standing next to me, I have no idea who he is. He's wearing a katana on his belt.
On the further edge of the glade, there are about 6-7 people standing in single file.
The man besides me walks to them and I tell him: "One swift cut across the throat. It's easy to take a human life if you don't hesitate."
The Swordsman unsheathes the katana and with one swift move cuts through half of the first mans chest.
"The throat, not the chest." I tell him. I watch the victim as he writhes in agony on the ground.
He makes an eerie gurgling noise as his lungs fill with blood. The next swing decapitates him.
The next man gets a cut to his throat, but not deep enough. He screams and there's blood pouring out of the wound.
Through the wound I can see the dark inside of his oesophagus. "Deeper," I tell him "your purpose is not to torture them, but to kill them."
The next swing at the man misses his neck completely and hits his shoulder, carving a 30cm wound into his body.
"Try again." All this time I'm just watching as blood runs out of the wound in the victims neck, his skin is getting pale.
The third swing hits his arm, this time lower. The man falls down with the now familiar gurgling noise.
His arm is attached to him only by a thin piece of skin.
"Let him be," I say as I watch the man squirm on the ground "Try the next one. This one will be dead soon enough."
About half an hour passes like this, The Swordsman steps over the carved bodies of men. None of them have a clean wound over his throat or a clean decapitation.
All this time I observe The Swordsmans work with a cool look, giving him advice and tips on how to improve his horrific art.
I remember every wound in great detail, the fourth mans filleted chest with the ribs showing or as one mans jaw was half cut off, sharp pieces of bone sticking out of his face.
"Show me what you have learned." The Swordsman steps before the last man and makes a quick slashing movement.
The victim screams and tries to cover his face with his hands. A deep wound runs over his eyes and through his nose.
"Hopeless," I say with a cold voice as I walk towards The Swordsman "You will never become a killer."
I take the katana from The Swordsman and with a single swift cut I take off his head. I can clearly feel the blade cut through his spine.
"One swift cut across the throat. It's easy to take a human life if you don't hesitate." This time it's not me saying that. I turn and I see a man standing on the edge of the glade.
I don't know who he is, but he seems oddly familiar. Looking in front of me I can see 6-7 men standing in single file.
The first ones eyes are closed and over them runs a deep scar.
My hands are sweating and I only feel fear...
Some notes I still remember: As the title claims, it's the most vivid dream I've ever had, I can especially remember the wounds. It was all extremely graphic. I was calm throughout the dream until the end when I felt scared to the point of panic which prompted me to wake up. I didn't feel hesitation or anything as I would have expected thanks to the sentence "It's easy to take a human life if you don't hesitate." I'm pretty damned sure I wouldn't be capable of killing a human. Definitely not with a sword. Also, I felt the need to call the man with the katana "The Swordsman", as a name or a title.
I really have no idea what more to type here. If someone could help me with what this could mean, I would really appreciate it. If you need any more info, ask, perhaps I can remember something.
