      Disturbed Dream Character

      Something strange happened in one of my lucid dreams and just thought if anyone might have an explanation

      I'm lucid and im inside a mall just looking at stuff. I look at some nice flat screen TV's and I either didn't like the channel or just felt like destroying it(can't remember). So i decided to try and test out my powers since they weren't really working well recently. I concentrated a bit and then a hurled lightning bolts at the tv's. Mind you that they didn't break and were unscratched(weird, i know). But before i could ponder about that, i hear this freakish sound that i've never heard before. I looked to my right and i see this DC looking straight at me. His eyes shape start to change into something non-human and they start to glow orangy reddish(he did not look friendly at all). Then he opens his mouth and i hear the same noise again, but worse this time. It's hard to describe. It's like the sound a demon, alien, dinosuar, and machinery altogether.

      Anyway i did what i always do when something threatens me in my dream. I went over to it and tried to kill it. I did a lot of stuff to him that should've killed him, but he just healed himself and kept glaring at me with that horrible noise. After that i think i lost lucidity because of the shock and then he disappeared, but for the rest of the short dream he was the focal point of that dream(me asking others what the hell was that)

      Any ideas?

      Curiosity killed the cat but at least it didnt die an ignorant bastard

      You tried to kill the TV.

      TV could be to that demon thus it sees you as a threat. It wants you to leave. Obviously you couldn't destroy the TV's, but you could have come close.

      Basically the message that I see is that you shouldn't try to get rid of something because other may get angry at you for it. Maybe the sound was an attack itself. You should be cautious before you do something.

      This is a new concept I am trying out, but I would see the mall as maybe an economic place. You tried to get rid of something that some depended on financially or tried to profit of off. Maybe stocks or advertisements. Maybe even the newest trends that the demon liked.

      hahah yeah im sure the demon was pissed cuz you tried to break the tv he was watching! dont do that!

      sounds freaky tho. truly scary what our minds can conjure!

      I often have pretty scary dreams. I'm rather lucid and although I have the ability to control what is going on, I often choose to let the dream take it's course. Usually, rather than fighting off a monster or some type of threatening being, I speak to it. I try to find out why it's there and work out the problem with them. A threatening being or action in a dream usually represents something in your life you may feel threatened by or stressed by.

      Just like psychotherapy, you would want to find out what is bothering and try to resolve the problem rather than kill it off by burying further.

      As a child I had a regular dream of a monster that howled when it shot up out of any type of water. From a glass of water to a lake. I never figured out what the water represented, but it was the first experience I ever had with lucidity. I finally took control of the dream and spoke to the monster. I asked him to please leave me alone. I never had the dream again.

      well, i figure there's a few approaches to this one.

      1) maybe that wasn't your everyday DC. It could have perhaps been a hostile or dark spirit that wandered into your dreamworld and found you. Unlikely, but its possible.

      2) the 'demon-person' could have represented everything a TV stands for: loud, annoying garbage that cant be destroyed. <----- my best guess

      3) or it could have just been your brain going haywire during your REM period, which is likely as well because during that period your brain fires a bunch of random signals.
