Hello. Posting this because I have a few minutes and my dreams are more interesting if I feed them by thinking about the ones I have already had....

My son dreamed of zombies, after fighting zombies in Minecraft. So I dreamed of zombies, but my dream was from the standpoint of a zombie. The zombie is a zombie because she has lost her sense of identification as a human body. She has the same appetites as any human - to kill, to eat - but doesn't care about consequences to her own survival, and doesn't identify with other human beings either. So the appetites just run riot, an expression of nature.

In eastern teachings and their New Age cousins, self identification with the body is the root of evil, and correcting it brings the end to rapacious desire and action. But in this dream the loss of such identification creates a monster.

In one phase of my dream the zombie is also a ghost, there is an indifference not only to human identity but to what we think of as existence.

There is a deformed/handicapped person in the dream who is immune to the zombie plague. Something about his condition has strengthened or clarified his sense of identity, so that he does not fall under the zombie spell.
