Dreamt I Was A Man Having Sex With Myself (?)

The Dream: I'm trying to find a private place to take a shower but the only stall that's open has a bunch of random holes in it so people around me can see me if they peek. Feeling embarrassed, I cover myself and keep checking all the holes to make sure no one is peeking. Suddenly, I'm a man and standing before me in the shower is a frightening young woman who looks a lot like myself, except the top half of her face is covered in shadow. She's completely naked and drenched except for a black bra. I'm suddenly very aroused and I have sex with her but she's still very frightened. She tells me she's a virgin and I say "It's alright", though I don't think I was too concerned for her wellbeing because then I just started kissing her. Then I'm back to being myself, still self-conscious that someone is going to peek through the holes and see me. I wrap myself in a towel and step outside the stall. The people outside turn out to be friendly and they instruct me on how to cover up the stall better next time. I'm grateful for their help. Background: I'm a 22 y/o female, recently graduated. Looking back at this dream, it seems a bit rape-y though I don't think it was meant to be. I have no history of rape or sexual assault but I do suffer from anxiety and depression. I had always assumed I was straight, but recently discovered I'm bisexual. Prior to having this dream, I was wondering what my gender identity would be since I had never bothered to question that either. I might add I'm still a virgin and if this dream was supposed to reflect my own anxieties about sex then it had a weird way of showing it This theme of going into a shower/bathroom/changeroom for some privacy but being unable to find any has been a common re-occuring dream for me.

Maybe you find yourself attractive? Or maybe the dream merely reflected the core desire of your want for sex(which is in all us I'm sure). Maybe the message of these recurring dream themes is that you wish to be sexually active but you don't want anyone to know it(from the viewpoint of you wanting to be private). I don't know, these are just guesses. In the end slumber, I think that only you can interpret your dreams. After all, no one can tell you what something means to you.

We must go deeper into symbolism and meaning! Having holes around stalls can be a very good indicator of privacy invasion. But being as nobody else tried to look in the holes, in real life you may be just too self conscious of yourself. You may be having thoughts that people are invading anything personal to you, or you might be thinking that everyone thinks wrongly of you, and this is the dream's way of saying that nobody is trying to do that. As for when you turn into a man, I very well believe this is your subconscious showing you how you think in the dream. The girl, or you, being nearly naked, is how you think of yourself, feeling as though your privacy is being attacked and/or people think you are bad. The man, despite it being you doesn't really affect this interpretation, are the other people in this equation, and don't care for your well being. Then when you reverted back to yourself again, you were again self conscious of yourself. When you exited, though, you found that everyone was friendly. This is what your mind wants you to believe about your current situation in waking life, the people are friendly and don't want to hurt you. Heck, they even helped you cover up the stall (or in this case, your privacy or feelings, etc.) so you don't feel so self conscious again. Either way, the anxiety and depression you mentioned is definitely the cause of this. Consider this a "Get better! ... please?" card from your brain . Hopefully, sweet dreams..
