traffic street near a specific intersection

Last night was at least the third time this intersection/area has appeared in my dream in the last month or so. I know an intersection can mean a crossroad or a choice, but I'm wondering why this specific intersection is so flexible in it's use, what else can it mean? Is the dreams related (does this symbol mean the same in all dreams)?

In actuality, here is what the intersection has on each corner:
NW has Walgreens like store, a fast foot restaraunt.
SW has a sheriff's station and church.
      SE has a retirement community.
NE has a bank, church, and a really big plaza. The only other thing I travel over there for is the barber shop, or a fast food restaurant.

This intersection is about five miles west of my house, and it's the last major intersection before the freeway.

First dream: I forgot something at home, I was dressed up nice and forgot an article of clothing. I was having dinner with my family. I went home to go get the article of clothing, and on my way back I was at this intersection, it was night time and the traffic had picked up. It also started raining and I sat waiting for traffic the rest of the dream.

Another dream: After losing my work badge and forgetting my lunch box, I see my brother and we go home. We leave my work which is located at the same intersection. We drive under a tunnel, same as the one my dad drives through on his way to work. I jump out of my car and walk back to work looking for this stuff. I find five other people's badges, then I give up and walk home and in the way get lost and meet a family's nice dog.

Last dream: I was driving around this intersection and someone was persuading me to switch my college to a new college, where the mascot is a Raven.

The first two obviously have some common area between them (forget something, go back to a place, leave where I returned to, then get sidetracked and do not accomplish what I meant to do). Those dreams are relatively straightforward to interpret, but what about it all happening near this same intersection? I have had HI where I saw a car crash happen really quickly just east of this intersection too. Are these streets the same symbol.

I like your suggestion that it is the last major intersection before hitting the road out of Smalltownsville.

I used to dream continuously within a landscape that was within miles of the town I grew up in. Indeed, it had given me a wonderful idea once, of thinking in a dream how often I frequented these places, and all sorts of dream memories suddenly unfolded. It is as though my dream self had a continuous life going on even when I was awake, and much of its time was spent in this Astral Realm version of my old home town.

But more recently my dreams have been occurring more cosmopolitanly; more across the globe. This is not necessarily a better thing, though. They say that one has the most power the closer one is to home -- where one was born and grew up.
