Reoccurring dream

When I say reoccurring dream. I dont mean every night or every week, etc. It comes, randomly. But it is the same every time. I am unsure on the the validity of dream interpretation. I have been lucid in the past, and that alone blows my mind, so I am open to any interpretation put forth to my experience.

A ghost? Poltergeist? Invisible unknown figure? Who knows. All I know is, when this particular dream occurs. I am the opposite of lucid. I am trapped, either I cant move, or I can. But limited. I feel like something is pushing me around, forcing me to move. I am watching myself from outside eyes, something. It's hard to explain.

Sometimes I have died, while sometimes I have felt and witnessed myself be smashed through a window countless times. Everytime, when I am thrown about hit with objects, thrown into objects, strangled. Whatever. Even sometimes just dragged across a room from this invisible figure.

I wake up in a state of confusion. Sweating, everytime.

Is this a normal reoccurring dream?

I'm wondering when you say you are watching yourself, if perhaps you are a sort of lucid, like your aware that your dreaming , perhaps if you are trying too have lucid dreams and control your dreams its you thats trying to wake yourself up in a very aggresive way?? just a thought

otherwise have you looked into dream paralysis?
