      A very odd dream

First I'm sitting in my house watching everything erode or break down to rot. Little bugs are crawling through the wood that used to be my house. Where walls used to be there are none just rotted sticks showing the frames of what used to be my house. I'm all alone in this strange world that isn't my own. When I look around everything is futuristic metallic like in nature.

Two figures flying by themselves swoop down telling me I don't belong here. I'm very frighten, but a basic feeling takes over that tells me to run, but instead of running I realize I'm able to fly away. Somehow I'm able to loose the two that are chasing me. I explore a little of the world that I'm in only to find a very large river dividing two land masses. I some how find the courage to fly over the river only to land in a area of complete chaos.

The new area looks straight out of a old cowboy movie with people being dragged through the street and buildings being set on fire. This area frightens me even more then the last, but nobody seems to realize I'm watching from above. Something from inside forces myself to wake up at this point. This is from a dream I have had. I have my own feelings about it, but I was wondering what others might think.

Wow... I've never encountered a dream before where the dreamer's house was so run down. It made me re-evaluate exactly what the house-symbol projects. Your house was virtually destroyed within the context of a super-futuristic setting, with two Supernatural Entities telling you that in this situation and context 'you were wrong'. The way I have come to understand that is that this House represents your Karmic Traditions and your Natural Character, what the Sanskrit Philosophers would call Dharma, which indicates the core duties and obligations of one's character and spirituality. Each individual has a specific 'Dharma'. Ordinarily we know that we are having trouble with our 'dharma' if our house in our dreams is on fire or has bug-rot. But your house was entirely destroyed and was replaced by a Future-rama. It seems that you have abandoned your true self in order to be some kind of avante garde Future Man. In order to become Modern and Contemporary, you have alienated yourself from your intrinsic strengths and securities.

You flew from your Supernatural Accusers. You flew just as they flew. That is a good sign. It shows you are a person of capacity. However, you seem to be going from bad to worst. In Crossing the River you seem to have crossed the Frontier of Civilization into the regions of Barbarism.

So the dream is mixed. It is telling you that you are capable. It is telling you that you have access to Spiritual Sponsorship (those two Flyers are not your enemies). But the dream is telling you that you are wrong about nearly everything in your life and are heading in the wrong direction so that you can become even more wrong. It is probably a very common condition. All Modern Secular Propaganda and Conservative Political Doctrine, which the media virtually pickles us in, tends towards pushing all of us into such similar dysfunctions. A Century ago it was assumed that World Culture was moving in the direction of an inevitable Progress. But now we can see in the corruption of morals and manners that it has been quite the opposite -- that our Culture has crossed that Frontier abandoning Civilization and is now collapsing down into the 'Wild West' of chaotic barbarism.
