      breaking bike

This was only a really short dream, but it left me feeling weird for quite a while afterwards...

I was in a strange building and my only means of transport was my bicycle. When i went to get it the handlebars were all bent, but i didn't worry too much about it. But as i wheeled it out the gate it began to break more, as if someone had intentionally broken it, until when i reached the gate, it was just a pile of bike parts. I was pretty upset about it, but everyone there was laughing at me and didn't care. Any ideas as to what this could mean?

The dream indicates a situation - one pertaining to the mental attitude you are using. This mental attitude may seem strange or unfamiliar to you. (in a strange building) Your only means of making progress consists of using a way of thinking based upon the idea of using moderation (the bicycle) . When coming from the present mental attitude - which may also reflect a philosophy that has been built up to seem very important or impressive (the building) you find you can no longer "get a handle on" a moderate way of thinking as was possible previously. (handlebars are all bent)

While at first this does not seem to be something of great concern (didn't worry about it too much), as time goes on the idea of using moderation becomes less and less usable or available to you. {by the time you wheel the bike out the gate, it is more broken} This now becomes much more upsetting. (I was pretty upset about it) There are, however, aspects of yourself (represented by everyone there) who find this situation amusing (laughing at me) and are not at all concerned about this unfortunate event. (and didn't care) There is some aspect of yourself which would intentionally break with using a moderate way of thinking. (someone had intentionally broken it)

On a physical level of interpretation, it could be that someone is deliberately sabotaging an idea of yours - one you count on for your own progress. It might even be seen as a practical joke which you may not find amusing at all but rather devastating.
