      Disturbing dreams...

this is a dream I had a while ago... but still disturbing... most of the dreams I have are pretty disturbing...
I dreamt about me walking on a field in the middle of a summer day, dressed up into a long simple white night gown, and I had long black hair. I entered a little house and I saw some men raping a little girl. I wanted to do something but they were too many for me to overcome, so, after they left I ran there and picked up the little girl who was unconscious and full of bruises and blood. She wore the same thing as me and she kind of looked like me. I heard from far the men approaching to the house so being afraid that I’ll get it too I took her in my arms to protect her and hid into a small cabin further away. They saw me going in there and they followed me. I was so scared, so afraid that I was shaking and sweating in the little cabin. Finally, I woke up before they found out where I was hiding.
The overall feeling was fear and a strong wish to protect the little girl.

Hmmmm........sounds like it could be a past life dream........

But it also could be you protecting the part of you (your psyche/or aspect) that is vulnerable.

Are u able to recall your dreams every night?

Most of my dreams I can recall but I only pick up the ones that really disurb me and the rest I discard from my memory... Ussually I can forget them during the day.... Why though?

Oh.......since u can recall most of your dreams, I suggest u keep a dream journal and record all your dreams for about, say, a month, and then analyze all your dreams that u could recall for common themes and characters etc.......that way, it might help to interpret this disturbing dream of yours.

I would be glad to help u out with the interpretation if I can.

I did this for myself and I realized that even if I could not really interpret one of my dreams in isolation, after analzying a couple of other dreams, that one dream begins to make sense.

      Hope that helps

Most of my other dreams are far from being like this one. They are mainly about people I hardly know, they have similar themes, and I'm not always the center of the dream, sometimes I'm just somewhere in the background observing everything. There is one person that keeps appearing in most of them, and I hardly know this person, yet he haunts my dreams!

      Dear Aimee,

One thing you really need to get straight to turn around these horrible dreams of yours, and that is that your Dreaming Self is not your real self, and the Dream World is not the waking world. All of your fears in these dreams are entirely unnecessary. If you have problems with bunch of guys raping some little girl, then what is stopping you from wading into the middle of them and kicking all of their asses.

Yes, it is natural to suppose you are just as defenseless in a Dream as in real life, so this is why you have to repeatedly suggest to yourself, when you wake up from such dreams, that you had screwed up and made the wrong choices. Then visualize and imagine what you should have done, which amounts to a kind of hypnotic suggestion if you are still lying in bed between wakefulness and sleep.

Remember, start evaluating your dreams against the standard of measuring your dream self against the likes of Wonder Woman or Super Girl or somebody like that. Soon it will begin to translate into your dream actions.

Now, Dream Fights are not always easy. You need to remember that you cannot be killed... or, rather, you will not stay dead if you are killed. If you can stay in a dream while you are dead and last just 20 seconds or so, then you will find that you come back to life. So don't wake up just because you get killed... it is only temporary. But most the time, in a good Dream Fight, there is no danger of being killed. Pull their heads off, pull their arms off, jump up and kick them in the face. Be creative.

Sometimes Dreamers have an adrenal reaction in dreams that seems very strange. It seems to slow everything down to just about one-tenth of true time, but what is really happening is that you are getting Ten Times the amount of Time to think about every move you make. Although things seem slow to you, remember that it is ordinary time for the people you are fighting, so you having ten times the amount of time to think out your every move is one very great advantage.

Also, in dreams, a Dreamers outstretched hand, palm out, is almost like some kind of pacifying ray gun. If someone is coming at you with what seems more than you can handle, just point your hand, palm out, at them... like a hand signal for "Stop". Just pointing a hand like that is very effective, but to actually touch a Dream Character like that will definitely pacify them.

Also, it is difficult to ignore the sexual dimension of your dream. It would seem that you see sex as a violation of innocence and more of an expression of violence than affection. This would be a problem if I didn't think that you are probably correct.

Leo has give some good suggestions.

Anyway, as I said before, if your disturbing dream with the little girl is not a past life dream, than it could (from a psychological interpretation) just represent that your inner child is being abused by something or someone in the waking world. Harsh colleagues? Over-critical bosses? An aspect of yourself being too hard on yourself?

As for the person who keeps appearing in your dreams, you might want to investigate this.........I would if I were u.........probably gaining lucidity would be a good idea for this type of investigation. Alternatively, meditation is another way.

Do u have lucidity in your dreams? (as in, being aware u r dreaming during the dream itself) Or just conscious control of yourself?

To me it seems like the most poten thing is the feeling of wanting to do something and feeling unable to. Does that reflect at all on your life, people around you's lives? Or even a tv show or something you might have seen the previous day.

That's based on the way I dream myself though. For example, I sometimes dream that we have an intruder trying to break into our house and I can't bang on the window and I can't yell out. They seem to be about the way I quite often feel in real life, because I am a very shy person.
