      Should I be worried?

There is a line of prophetic dreamers in my family, this includes my grandmother, mother, aunt, and myself. My mother recently had a dream that my boyfriend and I were having sex. [I'm 16, so that's a big concern with her.] We are having sex, and the night she had that dream, I felt strange during our erm...session. >< I didn't think too much of it until she told me about her dream, and now I'm worried that something could be wrong because it was her first dream like that even though he and I have been active for three months.Normally, I'd say it was just a subconscious fear of hers, that was becoming present in her dreams...but the unsettled feeling I've had since that night has thrown me off.I'd appreciate any advice or other views on this.

      Thank you<3

I'll get it out of the way right off- You're too young to be having sex! (thus sayeth the ancient 21 year old) That said, I don't know. That's odd, I can't imagine that she had a dream walk into your concious mind, but I guess you can't discount the possibility...

      Tink,

Perhaps your mother has been suppressing suspicions, so her dreams are putting it "out there".

It could also be "mothers' intuition", or some other kind of psychic awareness (given the synchronicity of the event...and family history).

PS You're probably not too young. Just always remember to be safe!

And as far as age goes, I really think it depends on the maturity of both people involved and the strength of the relationship between them.[And we always wrap it up! ]

Heh, well I still can't say that I approve, but then, you don't need my approval, now do you? Glad you're being cautious at least. That shows more sense than a lot of people.

There's a reason why teenagers are given limited freedom, they're still learning how to deal with it. They are inexperienced and easily swept up in their emotions. It's not so much the safe sex itself that worries me as it is your future mistakes. It's a chaotic world and things go wrong, especially involving sex. You'd be on safer ground abstaining than playing with fire.

I would say... you probably felt a bit guilty about it, if it occurred to you that it might not be making your mother happy. Her dream is probably a coincidence. Or maybe you said or did something that tipped her off, and didn't conciously realise you did it.

True. But telling teenagers not to have sex is like telling the tide not to come in!

Just make sure they know the dangers, and know how to be safe. At least that way they can't say they didn't know any better!!

      Hi Tink From Texas

I agree with the previous posts.
And with something Prophetic it would seemingly happen without your choice.
In this case you have a choice. So HER dreams and concerns cannot make you act.
