black coyotes won't leave my house

last night i had a dream that there were these black coyotes in my backyard. My dad told me if any of them got into thte house, i was to kill them with a gun. Well one got in our house and i tried to kill it but there were no bullets. My sister's dad told me not to kill them because there was no need.

The house would represent your family or yourself, or your relationship with your family. No information to work with, what are your father and sister's father like and how do you get along with them?
The black coyotes could represent many things, a medical condition, a problem in the family, an emerging tendency in yourself, possibly involving deception and weakness.

      Hey Catrina,
unless this is a recurring dream scene or you have prevalent dream-signs, I don't think you should be too worried about this single dream.
It could mean something, but like Inspirer had said there is not a lot to work with.

Believe your own father. It was bad enough that the Black Coyotes were in the back yard, that is, close enough to influence your life, but in the house, they can become part of you and corrupt the way you think and the way you feel. Your sister and your sister's father are different from you and your father... and while I hate to be judgemental, you and your father are better... you have a quality that they don't have, and which they don't recognize in you, but you should recognize it in yourself.

Now, about not having bullets for your gun. I once had a Psychologist Friend who gave me a paper to read about an existential model he had developed for understanding various aspects of Character Development. Not having bullets in a dream would indicate that you are, in his system of thinking, a Second Order Self in relationship to these Dark Coyotes, that is, you want and desire that these Coyotes be shot dead, but you as yet do not have the knowledge and ability Inventory to accomplish the fact. You know what you want to be, but do not yet possess the skills. It is like a child who wants to be a Doctor... the intelligence and aptitude and dexterities may all be present, but all the schooling and training are still lacking. It is still just Second Order. You have the Gun. You need the Bullets. Now, my doctor would call it Third Order Self if you didn't even have the gun but wanted one. A Second Order self wants a certain Actuality and is working toward acquiring it. A Third Order Self wishes that they wanted something they were willing to actualize, that is, they wish they were a different type of person. Now, Third Order conditions can solidify into more tangible 2nd Order Ambitions, as for instance with children dreaming of what kind of person they would like to be when they grow up, and then eventually actually doing it.

I myself went from a Third Order to a Second Order phase. I had always wanted to be the kind of person who would study a foreign language, but thought I was not very good at it. But, now so old that I can sense the end approaching, I decided "screw how much aptitude I have for it, ...just do it". Of course, it may never hit First Order, that is, actually being a bilingual person by education, but at least I am now solidly Second Order.

But, back to you. Your dream is telling you that while you have a certain Character in Potential, you still need to attain some certain skills and factors of knowledge in order to achieve what now only resides in you as Potential. And don't believe them. For you, the Black Coyotes are bad.
