      Sensei playing fiddle

      Hello all,

      Last night i had this dream where i was in a dojo waiting for the sensei (karate) to come in. We were attending a class, but weren't on the list. Still we could join the class. When the sensei entered i recognised him ( from karate-courses years ago). He went to sit on the tatami, we all did and then he started to play the fiddle.
      I don't follow courses of martial arts since 10 years.

      Any ideas ?

      Okay. It would be useful to explain the terms which are not common knowledge.

      I know what a dojo is or think I do: a school where the martial arts are taught?

      Sensei? teacher?

      Tatami? what kind of thing is this that you can sit on?

      And what does he play on the fiddle? Is it Jewish, like Fiddler on the Roof? Is it like Charlie Daniels smokin' crossover country rock? Is Square Dance Fiddle--dozy doe? Is it Salty Dawg--kinda twangy folksy? Just what kinda fiddle are we dealing with here?

      Not to mention the foriegn terms are a bit of an impediment.

      Perhaps the dojo is the representation of an unconcious desire to learn, to be taught by a higher authority, perhaps your mind itself. The fiddle might be a representation of the desire to learn of a more artistic and spiritual nature...?

      Try to fill in the gaps with your self-knowledge.
