      Scary dream-I was not myself

      I had this dream several years ago, so some of the details are a little fuzzy. The first thing I remember was being in a room that kept changing colors & patterns. There was a guy in the room and other girls. It felt as if we were being drawn to him. At some point, that guy changed to someone I know. (I find him attractive, but he is arrogant & stuck up & completely full of himself.) We started getting hot & heavy (very heavy make-out session, to the point you want to go all the way). Then the room changed to my house. It continued & clothes started coming off. Then I heard my parents pull up. I frantically put my shirt back on & rushed to the back door, but my dog didn't like him, so we headed down the hall & I had him climb out my parents window. I noticed it was night time. I handed him his shirt & headed back to my bedroom. Then I work up.

      This dream seems to shape out all your feelings as they are flashing through your mind. You are vulnerable to fall for the jerk. You hide this side of you from your parents. Your DOG didn't like him? Thus blocking your first choice of escape to the back door, you are unwilling to push these feelings to the back of your mind, also you have some self conflict. You escape through your parents' window (outlook) meaning that you are planning your future life with a man like this.

      RAMIFICATION: (I'm guessing your that young) as a teenager you are prone toward strong passion but not strong control. This is because passion and control are in conflict. I would not expect you to be happy in the long run with an arrogant jerk, and so your rising passions would work against you.

      The Pre-Lucid Dreamer is typically a more primitive persona -- more impulsive, more animalistic, more passionate, but more fearful, and less controlled, less civilized.

      So it is not uncommon to be surprised or even appalled at one's behavior within dreams. However, one should hope for some improvement. The urge to civilize one's behavior within dreams is often just the very impulse that brings on Lucidity. With the Dawning of Waking Consciousness in the Mind of the Dream Persona, there begins the moral transformation of the Primitive Dream Persona into the Spiritualized Self.
