In my dream, I was at my grandfathers house in the back yard and there were bones and carcasses everywhere. Horses, dogs, small animals. Some were rotting, some half burried, some just lying about. It was a rather pleasent dream though. I was taking care of some baby birds in a cage by the barn. I don't know why there were so many bones, or what it means.

Just a guess but is your grandfather highly conservative. He may have taught you to repress much of your emotions & desires.

      That actually makes some sense...
Except I didn't really know my grandfather that well, I've only been to his home a few times as a child. Although I do believe he is rather conservative as was my father. My father caused me many emotions as they were in his opinion a weakness. I do belive that my father was that way because of his father. So the bones are my repressed emotions? If thats what this dream means then it would have been appropriate at so many other time during my life yet why at such a random time when I don't feel I'm keeping anything to myself?

Yes, one curious part of a dream is its timing. There must have been SOMETHING going on in your life and your day to trigger it, or maybe a new thought or something on tv that triggered it. Who knows, it's a mystery factor.
