Thread: Odd Boar In Dream Representing Something?

So i had a very odd dream the other night. My mom and I were at a zoo, I believe. There was this animal there that, although I knew it as a boar, it looked nothing like it. It actually looked somewhat like a yeti, I think, with yellowish fur. It was certainly imaginary, and I am sure I haven't seen it anywhere else.

So we were leaving the zoo when I hear someone shouting behind me. Apparantly it was one of the people in charge of the boar. The boar had escaped (or it was let out for a walk, etc. I don't think the boar had actually physically broken free, i think it was let free for some reason) and it was getting ready to charge at me. The person in charge of the boar told me that I would have to become friends with the boar and to do things with it so that it would not view me as a threat.

So i did just that. The only thing i can remember doing is that I was digging by a fence with the boar. I sort of remember trying to do a handstand with it, but I could be accidently making that up now. I do know I did a good bit with it. Then I woke up.

The one detail I left out was the really strange one, and the one that really makes me feel that this dream has some greater significance. The boar's voice was very, very.... disconcerting. It was a very deep voice, unlike anything that can really be produced in real life (without the aid of computers). The best word I could use I think would be primordial, or primitive. Although the boar sounded nice-ish when it talked, it felt like it had no real grasp of typical human emotions. As in, to it, I could be its good friend now, but the next moment it would have no problem goring me. The voice, in short, really freaked me out.

The only thing I can remember the boar saying to me was something along the lines of: "So you'll be my friend now?" I think he also told me what we'd be doing, i.e. "Now we'll dig." And then instructions on how to do it.

I'm sure there's a bit of detail I've lost, but that's what I remember. Usually my dreams lately have had something to do with something I want to get, either I new cd or, more recently, the wii , so this just seems out of place.
