Thread: Swastika Wheel

Hi,

I'm reposting this since it got lost in the recent crash. Since this one I haven't been able to remember even a single dream. At first it didn't seem that interesting, but as I wrote it down it hit me how strange it was (to me, anyway).

I've been under some stress lately, but nothing extreme. I live together with my girlfriend. The girl in the dream had no special characteristics, except for her skin colour and the fact that she looked dead, but I think that's just a random thing. I saw the trailer for 'The Grudge 2' the evening before, which probably influenced her appearance.

Oh, by the way. If I remember correctly, the girl wore some ragged dress. Same 'colour' as herself.

The boat referred to here was a boat I served on for two years.

Excerpt from my dream journal follows:

I was on my old navy boat. There was a blind passenger, I had dreamed about her being on the boat before that night, but can't remember, except that she was very pale, grey/whitish, and possesed some strange powers. I was a bit afraid of her.

I was lying in my bunk, when someone woke me. They had spotted the girl, and she was doing something. People started running around, shouting 'Alarm! Alarm!'. I jumped out of bed and did the same. I ran up to the bridge, shouting and telling the men the girl was spotted 'doing things' (everyone knew she was on board, but she had been hiding within a life boat or something - a little weird in retrospect, since all life rafts are inflatable and thus well packed). For some strange reason they didn't react much. I had expected them to sound the alarm, but all I heard was people running around shouting.

I went out on the starboard side and saw her below on the main deck. She was in a kind of creature position (on all fours) and 'shifted' towards me, not moving naturally. I spoke to her, and said everyone was looking for her. Don't remember what else we said, but I tried to help her. She wanted to show me something and reached out her hand. I was afraid something bad might happen if I took it, but I managed to overcome my fear and reached out. It was very hard to get my hand out of my pockets, for some reason (Note: In the dream I couldn't recall, which I had earlier, I think I also had fear of taking her hand. Don't remember why).

Nothing scary or bizarre happened when I held her hand; she guided me towards the bow. There I could see what she had done. A huge construction of wood lay on the deck; it was a wheel with four poles sticking out of it. The wheel was pale blue, I think. Also, the construction was very much like a swastika, except for the wheel in the middle, and it was left-facing (it was lying on the deck, not standing, by the way).

My dream ended there. Haven't had much luck with dreaming lately, I've been very tired when going to bed, maybe that's why.

I forgot to write down the weather, it was dark. Don't remember if there was much wind, but there were no wave splashes on deck. Also, I got the feeling everybody knew where she were, but only pretended to look for her. As if they didn't want to see her. I had a feeling I knew the girl.

Anyone have any idea about what this means? I don't do anything related to swastikas in real life, so I'm a bit puzzled about this.
