Well here goes............................ my Grandma died recently and I wondered if it had any significance?
I was in bed and am pretty sure i had my eyes open because i distinctly remember blinking to see clearer as to what was happening. (Maybe i was dreaming with my eyes open) At the bottom of my bed a woman floated in through the bedroom door quite quickly. I remember staring at her and she was kind of laughing and smiling...........the laughing seems to be the part that sticks in my mind the most. She wasn't laughing in an evil way ( i seemed to get that understanding just on looking at her) just a kind of normal jolly laugh or more of a knowing sort of laugh like when you laugh at children for their lack of knowledge understanding (definitely not mocking either). She stopped at the bottom of the bed briefly and a ball shot out or maybe she threw it out of her hand. The ball/sphere then travelled through the air above me in my bed and shot up into the corner of the bedroom above my head. While this was happening quite quickly I distinctly remember blinking a lot to watch (and maybe stay awake?) I was transfixed by the sphere. The sphere had some colours all over it in parts but not all over, some parts were dark to me, but i can't say exactly how dark. The lady started to dissappear to the right again through my bedroom door, but never turning always looking at me. This happened as soon as the sphere left her hands and my attention was quickly grabbed towards the sphere. then i remember nothing and must have stopped dreaming. I didn't wake up from this.

Can anyone understand what happened? It's been on my mind a lot because it all seemed so vivid and unusual for me.

      Hello Sally,

My immediate reaction to your experience is that your grandmother's death weighs heavily on your mind. The surreal images of the old woman and a sphere must be your subconscious building its own reality from the residue of the real-world reality that it processes during those REM phases.

Perhaps time is the best remedy to this dream? Without letting any element of scare to creep in, see if you can get the images to convey more meaning to you. If they are simply after-effects of the grandmother's passing away, these images will automatically fade over time.

Keep us posted of your experiences.

      Cheers,
      Sanjay.

      Hi Sanjay
Thanks for your response. My Grandma's death did play more heavily on my mind than I expected it to. particularly before she died because it was quite a slow process and quite agonising for her and the rest of us. Just to clarify though the lady with the sphere was quite young not old, i'd say in her 30's maybe early 40's with blonde shoulder length hair. If this makes a difference for some people's interpretation of the dream? I've not dreamt anything like it since.

I did have another dream though where all the family was trying to carry my Grandma because she was so weak. This was previous to the sphere dream. Anyway her body went all limp and flat and she seemed to have died. The next scene she was telling us "I'm not dead, I'm still alive". We were all very happy and were asking how this could be, but took it as truth and seemed to accept it. Gave me a bit of elation during my sleep. This definitely felt like a dream though and I woke up knowing it was as such. Not as vivid with my eyes blinking or anything.

      Hello Sally,

What is the time gap between your grandma's death and this dream with the images of woman and sphere?

If it has occured only once, then it could still be your subconscious weaving its own reality. The images become significant if they recur, either in the same form or as some variant.

      Regards,
      Sanjay.

      Hi Sanjay

I'd say the time gap may have been about a month. Haven't really dreamt about my Grandma like that since. It all seems strange anyway whatever my mind id trying to tell me.............

      Hello Sally,

I would rather not reach any conclusion based on one single experience, if I were you. However, I would keep an open mind, and be open to any further experiences that the universe may wish to offer me.

      Cheers,
      Sanjay.

Does anyone else have any ideas as to what may be going on?
