Thread: My horrible nightmare.

Hello, I'm an 18 year old male. Last night, I had a horrible dream which was so extreme it's glued to my mind.

The Nightmare:

Keep in mind that I only write what I remember clearly from the dream. Exerpts.

The general mood of the dream is eerie. My first clear memory is sitting by some sort of field. I'm sitting on a grassy knoll with a lot of people I know (sun shining). I watch two people I know (my body has negative feelings for both of them; I'll elaborate later) dig out some insects from the ground. They then proceed to put the insects in a jar.

I'm not sure what happens next, but I sit and try to mind my own business (reading or something), when one of the forementioned guys push the jar towards my body.
One of the insects (5x5 cm or so, black), which looks like a beetle, shoots its "tongue" out and lash it to my hand (remember the nasty flesh-eating beatles in "The Mummy"?). The insect then proceeds to pull itself out of the jar in an amazing speed, and attatches itself to my hand. It starts biting me (extremely painful, by now I am panicing). I try to get it off me, but the creature just jumps from hand to hand and keeps on biting with its huge fangs. Fear/panic/pain dominates this scene.

I don't remember how the creature got off of my hand, I only remember me asking people around me if the bites are infected. I get ignored (key point?). Visually, my skin is kind of standing out where the insect bit me. There is also some black substance in them (posion?).

The next clear exerpt is me walking up some sort of ramp in a geological camp/expedition. As I get to the top I see a dinosaur, lying down, strapped to the ground, helpless. There are many people around/on him. They are taking the same black insects which attacked me and put them on him. The insects bury in his skin. Last clear memory is one of the beetles attacking the dinosaurs eye. I feel sad that this poor dinosaur has to suffer. I also notice that the dinosaur is sad/crying (why a dinosaur? symbolism?).

In the last part of my dream I confront both of the guys that "attacked" me. I ask them why they did it, etc. I can't remember the answers, but they seem rather care-free (ignoring me must be a key point).

[I wake up and feel extreme pain and sadness. I think the dream is real. This fades after a few minutes, but the dream had a huge emotinal impact on me. I feel pain when I write this.]


As a side-note, I'm depressed (for 6 months now) and confused (I only mention this because I think it is relevant). I've known both of the guys which I mentioned for a while now. I don't want to get into details, but I have/had some sort of confrontation and such with them earlier, which left some impact.

My own theory is that I have some problems with these guys "assaulting" me. They did before, verbally, but this time it's through an insect. I really don't know what to say. Otherwise, I'm abit clueless, but I've written in italic where I think there is a key point or so.
