Thread: I dont understand

Hi, my name is Chloe and i have had this dream 3 nights in a row.

THE DREAM: In this dream my current boyfriend of 2 years tells me that he wants a break from me, but that he wants to get back together in 2 weeks. I ask him if he wants to sleep with other people. He says yes, so i tell him we are finished and leave the room very upset. Then i wake up. Sorry i cant remember much.

REAL LIFE: I am really upset by this dream, as my boyfriend and i are really in love, and i have never doubted him before. I couldnt bear to lose him, and this dream has really played on my mind. I was in a relationship before for 5 years and he cheated on me 4 times, so i am wondering if this dream is trying to tell me something about that? I have gotten over my previous relationship, and i am so happy with my current one so i dont understand what this dream means.
Please help!

I wouldn't worry. probably this dream came from some residue feeling of insecurity which was possibly created by your previous relationship. Like I said, don't worry about it.

Sounds to me like maybe you have some insecurities about your current relationship? Unfortunately when people are cheated on, it is very hard, the more times you are cheated on, to trust 100% in future relationships. And no matter how loving and special you think the relationship is, there will always be this doubt because of past experiences. Maybe this doubt is starting to come to your mind?

maybe, but i trust my boyfriend 100%. Im thinking maybe it was just my past relationship coming back into a dream. When i spoke to my boyfriend about it he said i have nothing to worry about. The dream just really shocked me, thats all as i have never thought of him as doing such a thing. I think im worrying about nothing :-s just needed some advice

This is not about trusting your boyfriend I dont think. I mean you have been hurt in the past, and these feelings will always be there, like you say you were with him for 5 years. So there will always be that hurt there from what he did to you.

You can trust your boyfriend 100% but there can be insecurities in relationships, like a feeling of being wanted and loved etc which often plague dreams. Just explain to your boyfriend that the dream shook you up a little, get a little attention from him, and I am sure you will back to normal in no time

All the dream represents is your fear of losing him, if you know that he loves you back then you have nothing to worry about, just know that a dream is a dream, it can represent your worries in a real way and it can be scary and even more worrying at times. Sometimes it can be a sign that it is on your mind too much, just try to think positively about your boyfriend, you have nothing to worry about. Its understandable that this may happen in relationships, just try not to worry about it. A dream is a dream eh?
