I had a night of incredibly vivid dreams, though none of them were lucid. During the night I dreamed of saving three lives in two different dreams. Normally I'm not terribly interested in interpretation, but this seemed like it might be interesting to chew on.

In the first dream, I was driving an old streetcar - the guy in control of it. I was stopped, and right next to me another streetcar plowed into a small group of people. It backed up right away, and a woman was standing over a small baby, very distraught. I jumped out and ran over to the baby. There was no heartbeat, so I used two fingers and very gently did some heart massage, as people were yelling at me and the mother continued wailing. Somebody asked me what I was doing... (the scene seemed to be from the 1920s or so,) and I explained "CPR - heart massage. The baby then coughed and started crying. Everybody fell silent and the mother was so astonished she wouldn't touch the baby. The baby seemed completely fine though - head and arms and legs all working fine... and I handed it back to the mother.

In another dream, I was in an old city with a lot of dikes. For some reason several of these dikes were breached, and the city rapidly flooded, sweeping people and things away in its path. I ran to the top of one of the dykes and watched in horror as two people got pulled under the water right in front of me, one under an overhanging corner and the other just beyond my reach in front of me. I was able to get in and hang on to the edge. The first guy was conscious when he came up, and got himself up on the edge. I thought the second guy was a lost cause, but managed to reach underneath and grab an arm. With the help of the first guy, we managed to get him out. He was unconscious and had been stripped naked by the current. We rolled him on his side and the guy coughed up water and started breathing.

I'm not sure why, but both dreams seemed very vivid and profound, with powerful emotions going on in the emergencies. Any thoughts or observations regarding interpretation would be appreciated!
