      Being humiliated

Okay I really need to know what this might be:
Two times over the last week, I've dreamt that I've been:
Thrown to the floor by a person I used to hang out with when I was a kid/teen
Held down to the floor, unable to move
Got a knee in my back (holding me down) causing severe pain that feels extremely realistic (last time I woke up crying because it hurt so DAMN much in my back)

...and whatever I do or try and tell them, I won't get lose. And it drives me crazier and crazier for every second.

It hasn't been the same person but two different ones actually. And everytime I've felt humiliated, insulted, backstabbed and betrayed.
I don't know why I dream this. One of these people I havent spent time with in 8 years, and the other person Im only speaking to over the internet.
One of them is a really nice guy (the one Im speaking to), and we have never been in any argues or anything like that - we've always got along.
The other is a backstabbing spoilt brat with some narcisistic personality disorder. And I abandoned him and a couple of other so called "friends" 8 years ago because I didn't consider them to be friends.

One more thing. In the dream where the "nice guy" was doing this to me, there was another person (who the nice guy always hanged out with - and if we all three hanged out I was always the third wheel) present. And he didn't do anything to help me but seemed to rather enjoy watching me in pain.

I just don't see any connection here!
Please, does anyone have a clue what these dreams means?

Well it sounds kinda complicated... Maybe there's some situation in your life that you feel is out of your control... But that wouldn't explain why your "old friends" would be in the dream... Maybe the dreams come from something that happened at the time you guys used to be friends...

Do you have any present rivals you are dealing with?

Perhaps the person causing you physical pain in your dream...is you.
Things are not as they seem

the first possible meaning I thought of, was whether or not you have a back problem, because you said you actually woke up crying, and that seems unusually intense. so I'm wondering if you're experiencing pain while you sleep only it isn't waking you up. physical pains/feelings can cause you to have a dream that relates to it. (like sometimes if you're hungry in your sleep you'll dream about eating). this seems unlikely, but I'm trying to cover every possibility. maybe you've been sleeping in a bad position lately? I don't know. what do you think? do you have any reason to believe you might have back pains?

if that isn't the case, then here is what I think. if you haven't had contact with the first person in eight years, then I doubt the dream has anything to do with that person, unless you feel like there is something between the two of you that has not been resolved, and needs to be. if that isn't the case, then the dream is probably referring to an attitude or some personality trait of that person.

what I would do is, write down everything you can think of about the first person, things that stand out to you. then do that with the second person, and see if there is something related. if you don't see anything, then perhaps you're just afraid that the guy you talk to will become (or secretly is) like the first person? maybe deep down you're afraid they will betray you?

I also think the things Pegasis and Jeff suggested are worth considering. could there be something you're currently doing that is hurting youself, that you didn't realize? something that relates to any of the people involved in the dream?

or are you currently dealing with some other rivals, that might have something in common with the people you dreamed about?

      hope I've helped.
