Thread: Strong man and fragile girl

For as long as I can remember (I'm 13 now) I have had recurring themes in some of my dreams. The dreams don't come at any set intervals. In these dreams there is always a big, tall, strong, dark man and I always associate him with force and with strong machines (tanks, cranes, etc.) and there's always a small, fragile, light girl. I always associate her with a pale, powder blue, and with a little flower. The flower feels as if you hit it slightly, it could just break. There is never a background in these dreams, it's all white. No ground (just white) no walls (just white) no ceiling (just white).
The man sometimes has his friends in the dream, but they're just a crowd of people, no individuals.
The man always tries to somehow destroy the world (using explosives) and the girl is always the last to go. I forget if she actually dies in the dreams, or if I wake up before she dies.
It's very hard to explain in words, because a lot of these dreams are like feelings. There is always a weird mixture coming from the forcefulness of the man and the fragile-ness of the girl. (like they're clashing or something, so hard to explain).

So, what do these dreams mean? Does anyone know? Is there a reason I always get them?

Oh wow...well tell me this..do you not think it has significance? because there really could be a whole lot of meanings. Big strong man...injuring or killing a small little weak girl..only you can judge if perhpas in your life now..mayhbe you, or someone else yo know is vulnerable to a heartless process of sorts...I would go definetely with some sort or vulnerability...it shouldn't be too hard to figure out, if you really relax and think deeply for a while where that would come in, in your own life. I'm sorry you have painful dreams like this..if that's what they feel like. It sounds like it's reoccuring though, perhaps you can use that fact to gain lucidity? Either way, I'm sure you'll find yourself a meaning.

Some things that hit me: (perhaps some deep fears/thoughts of yours?)

-Entering the world and maturing into an unsympathetic society?
-Someone you know you are afraid for?
-General feelings of dread about the state of the world, that the little guy(girl) will always get trampled if you don't fight hard...perhaps this worries you?

I know I'm probably way off, but that's what it hit me as.

wow, thank you! I really had no idea where to start with those dreams, but a lot of what you said could make sense. The last time I had one of those dreams was over the summer, so I don't remember what I was thinking about at that time. But any of those could really work.

It's how you characterise - unconsciously - your meaning of male and female. Perhaps based on a mixture of memories and emotions of you as a child and a significant man in your life at the time. Whatever, they're both you. You can be both fragile girl and strong man if you choose to be. It sounds like they want to somehow integrate into one being to me.
