Thread: Recurring theme help needed!

I have moved this posting to the "Dream Interpretation" forum where it can get the proper attention.

Anyhoo, per my dream dictionary:

Airplane / Airport
Airplane dreams usually represent creativity, freedom and health.
Dreaming of a plane crash or turbulence means a project will be delayed.
Dreams about plane crashes can also mean you have set unrealistic goals for yourself.
Airport dreams mean you are in a stage of transition.

I have been having a recurring theme for quite some time now and I really can't figure out what this is about. The main detail of the dream is I see an aeroplane taking off and then as it is a short way up it will just nosedive to the ground in a cloud of smoke and fire; the details such as where I am and what I am doing don't have any regularity, sometimes I see the planes taking off from random places not even an airport, like a few nights ago I was next to the River Thames and the plane took off opposite.
I have also had many dreams about being on a plane that can't take off properly and the plane always ends up flying really low above the ground, like 20 feet in the air.
Someone please help, I need to put this issue to bed!!

On the basis that everything you dream of is part of you, we need to think about the main theme here, which is a futile attempt to gain height. Some may interpret the plane sexually but I think it has more to do with your unconscious aspirations. You have something in your unconscious which is trying to rise to consciousness. But whatever is is about you that's defending against that is manifesting in your dream as the plans crashing or flying low. How would it feel if the plane did manage to gain height? Would there be something threatening about that? If so that may give a clue as to your defence against whatever the plane represents and ultimately to what the plane means for you.
