Thread: why do i dream about somebody i liked?

I don't understand my recent dreams. Well there is a guy I used to like, but never has he ever appeared in my dreams when I still liked him. I've dreamt about him twice now and every time I see him it's like when you fall in love for the first time the guy is always smiling in the dreams and I feel comfortable.

First dream was in a room (a place I know in reality) and I was walking next to him and I felt that warmth when our eyes met. It is still very dodgy to me as I only remember the feeling most and a feeling that he likes me too. I don't know how he feels in reality of course.

The second dream was...well I cannot recall the beginning, but I do remember some flashes of him and that it feels comfortable being around him, thereafter I saw a large house- walking next to it and looking at the supposedly his house and thought "so there is his house" and also thought he was rich. The weather was lovely- looked like summer. I was crossing the road- a long road, it's amazing that everything were pretty and perfect because in real life you will always see littering and dirty pavements.

Funny thing is that in both dreams we never acted like normal friends, neither intimate, but it's something in between that. In real life I've never spoken to him before, but only through body language- staring.The dreams are making me confused, someone just comes and ask me if I like him, I would say: I don't know.
Please help, what does the dreams mean?

This is not an unusual theme that you have shared. Inside us is a feeling of being loved and being in love. It's a feeling that has us feeling whole again. It's also the feeling we look for in others in waking life by projecting our "dream companion" onto them only to be disappointed when they turn out to behave differently. Your friend in your dream is the object of your feeling in your dream but I don't believe that this means he's the ideal partner for you. Your dream is more about your feelings.

I suspect you felt a sense of loss and yearning when you woke up.

I get some dreams about a girl I like but.. they shall not be appropriate for this forum...

Sounds like you know how to interpret them already then.

Thank u Burned up for your reply, I thought I was going mad because in reality I don't want to like him and then the dream made me confused.

Yes, I can see how that would happen. By "liking him" in real life, it's woth taking time to be clear about whether you're liking your dream projection of him or whether you're liking the real him.
