      Confusing Dream

Okay..some background information about my life ...

I'm 17, and I went out with this one guy for a bit over 3 years. Last January, however, he broke up with me and began dating a mutual friend of ours. A week or so later, they broke up, and 2 days later he committed suicide. I then got with my new boyfriend in July and we've been together ever since.

Now, my dream last night totally confused me. I'll tell you all I can remember, but it isn't much.

Okay..my dream was that my ex boyfriend was really still alive, and his whole death was just a big confusing mess. He was over my house, and I was laying on the floor, he was sitting in my computer chair explaining what had happened. Though I don't remember anything specific that he said. I was obviously confused about it all, and overwhelmed and I'm assuming that's why I was laying down. He got up and laid down with me, how we used to lay together when we were going out. I let it go for a second, just savouring the moment I guess. Then I said "you know I can't lay with you like this anymore." and I went to get up, but he pulled me back down and hugged me. Then all of a sudden, my current boyfriend, and my ex were in some school hallway, but it wasn't any hallway in our school. They were arguing about something, (I'm thinking me?) but again, I don't remember/I don't think I could hear them. Then I remember them getting into a shoving match and I broke it up and my current boyfriend put his arm around my waist and we walked away from my ex, but I just remember looking back at him and he just looked so disappointed. Then I woke up.

Sorry that is so long, but I really want to know what people think of the various things. Any input is helpful. Please & Thank you, everybody.

Maybe you're just remembering him since you've got a new boyfriend and you want to tell him that you've moved on, but you can't, so you had a dream about him?

Dreamviews can be a tad annoying like that sometimes, but oh well. These things take time.

think of dreams asd little conversations we have with ourselves. The various scenes pose questiuons and help us come to terms with our actions. Are we acting correctly? did we do something right? could we have done it better? I thin the dream links to these simple conversations you have had with yourself
"I really have been affected by my ex committing suicide"
"Could I have done anythiung better? could I have prevented it if I had stayed with him?"
"to be honest I could never have stayed with him."

Overall then thisn dream shows you examining your aown actions. Try to see what triggered this dream. Obviously its new year and that a time to reveiew our own year and actions. Its also the one year anniversay coming up(or just happened). So perhaps that is what triggered and brought back this issue. It could also have been triggered by something. Perhaps watching someone acting in a similar way to your ex.

Dreams use symbols. In real life you will say something like "I need to be recognised and accepted. I just seem to constantly fighting against peopel who do not respect me in the way that they should". yet a dream will also express such a concept but in symbolic form. You maybe fighting in the dream. That symbolises the struggle in your life.
Also remember that the day before the dream is especially important in the dream. Many dreams link top specific feelings that we felt yesterday as we reform our emotions.
