      Lucid Dream?

      Hi.

I recently lost my Mother, 9 days ago to a long battle with cancer. I have been reading about visitation dreams because I desperately want to hear from her.

I have been sleeping in her bed, where she crossed over because it brings me comfort, plus I want to be with my Father. I also feel maybe my sleeping in her bed will help her to come to me.

Last night I had a dream that I was floating around in the foyer, in a seated position, kind of swaying side to side. Then my body when outside and up the hill across the yard from my parents house. I was still in a seated position, moving sideways. Then I decided to turn my body like an airplane with my arms out and turn on my stomach, just as I was going over a tree, but I actually went "through the tree top. Then, I wanted to let my husband know how cool this was ( he was sleeping next to me), so I calmly said his name, yet being careful not to wake myself up because I didnt want this to end. It was the most awesome feeling. Then, I ended up on the ground, i think was walking at that point. All the while someone was diagonally to the left of me, sort of behind me but out of my peripheral vision. It was annoying me and I kept telling them to stop. Then 2 horses came through the woods with a person (don't know who) on their backs and they said, "no, you cant go through there and I knew to get on the horse. So I climbed on the back of one and then thats all I remember. I just know I had a strong sense not to to proceed, I had to go back.

Could this be a result of eating Girl Scout cookies before bed? Or does this mean something? I also had more crazy dreams, but this one, to me, seemed lucid maybe?

Any interpretations would be much appreciated.

      Thanks,
      Angela

ang569, I'm so sorry about the loss of your mother.

This sound like a very vivid non-lucid dream to me.

Lucid dreaming is the "awareness" that you are dreaming WHILE you're dreaming.

Did you ever say (or think) to yourself, "I'm dreaming" and, once having said/thought that, BELIEVED it to be true? If so, then you were definately lucid.

Next time, if you're in doubt, do a "reality check". The reality check that has never failed me is the "plug my nose and see if I can breathe" reality check. It never hurts to do your favorite reality check a couple of times or even do two different ones.. just to really convince yourself!

If you like I can move this thread into the "Dream Interpretation" forum for you.. just let me know.

      Hi Clarity!

Thanks for the response. I knew I was dreaming because I wanted my husband to come in with me. i was calling his name out (why, I have no clue), just excited to be dreaming and flying around and somehow thought I could let him know.

Moving this where you see fit would be great!

Thanks again for your kinds words.
