      Girlfriend keeps dreaming of water.

      Hello, my girlfriend of 1 year who is 18 years old and is in fact a PISCES (astrology sign). And for the past 2 months for almost every night and once in a while she'd skip a night, she has been having the same re-occuring dream of what she explained to me as:

      An Ocean. Just a large empty ocean, nothing is going on in it.
      A bridge that is almost cut off in the middle, like the other half of it is missing.

      She lives near no bridges and is fearful of anything having to do with water like pools or oceans now.
      Shes not driving in a car in the dream....its like shes seeing the bridge and the ocean from a 3rd person view, its hard to explain she says.

      She is emotional and sensitive to the extremes and very unhapp with her life right now, due to her family and her familys problems. I do my best to balance her out but shes just in a depression that I'm having a hard time getting her out of.

      So if anyone has any idea on what an ocean, a large body of water or a bridge with a drop in it means please tell me. This dreams been terrifying her for 2 months and I can't figure it out for the life of me.

      I'll make this statement, as I do in most interpretation threads: The thoughts expressed here I don't necessarily believe. Dream Interpretation is unique to each person, and not every dream can be interpreted.

      But, for the sake of discussion, lets look at some Dream Dictionary terms.

      Water

      To see water in your dream, symbolizes your unconscious and your emotional state of mind. Water is the living essence of the psyche and the flow of life energy. It is also symbolic of spirituality, knowledge, healing and refreshment. To dream that water is boiling, suggests that you are expressing some emotional turmoil. It also may mean that feelings from your unconscious are surfacing and ready to be acknowledged.

      To see calm, clear water in your dream, signifies that you are in tune with your spirituality. It denotes serenity, peace of mind, and rejuvenation.

      To see muddy or dirty water in your dream, indicates that you are wallowing in your negative emotions. You may need to devote some time to clarify your mind and find internal peace. Alternatively, it suggests that your thinking/judgment is unclear and clouded. If you are immersed in muddy water, then it indicates that you are in over your head in a situation and are overwhelmed by your emotions.

      To dream that water is rising up in your house, signifies your struggles and overwhelming emotions.

      To hear running water in your dream, denotes meditation, reflection and pondering of your thoughts and emotions.

      To dream that you are walking on water, suggests that you have supreme and ultimate control over your emotions. It may also suggest that you need to "stay on top" of your emotions and not let them explode out of hand. Alternatively, it is symbolic of faith in yourself.
      Ocean

      To see an ocean in your dream, represents the state of your emotions and feelings. It is indicative of some spiritual refreshment, tranquility and renewal.

      To dream that you are traveling across the ocean, signifies new found freedom and independence. You are showing great courage.
      Bridge

      To dream that you are crossing a bridge, signifies an important decision or a critical junction in your life. This decision will prove to be a positive change with prosperity and wealth in the horizon. Bridges represent a transitional period in your life where you will be moving on to a new stage.

      To dream of a run-down bridge, indicates that you should not contemplate any major changes in your life at this time.

      To see a bridge collapse in your dream, denotes that you have let a great opportunity pass you by.

      Perhaps some of these fit the situation. If not, we may need to be a bit more specific. Even the smallest details can mean something.
