      Question The Number 42

If you don't want to read all of this, skip to the "**" part. I am new to dreaming, and I have been recording for about a week and a half. And in almost all my dreams, the number 42 makes an appearence. I'm only 14 (I don't drink), but Last night I had a dream that I gave my neighbor three 12 packs of beer (I didn't even notice that they were 12 packs, I just remembered that in the morning because they were cans, and I know cans come in 12 packs) and a 6 pack (Once again, I only noticed that because bottled drinks come in 6 packs). When I woke up and was recording this, I realized that 12+12+12+6=42, and I was really freaked. Before, 42 was blunt. Now, its moving lower and lower into my subconcious. **In total, why does the number 42 keep appearing in my dreams, and what does it mean?** Thanks, -BeeT

Maybe the number is significant from your past, maybe when you were younger but you have just forgotten. It could be when you were aged six or aged 12 as both these numbers seem significant as well.

Or maybe you scored low on a paper say scoring 42 or know somebody who is or would have been aged 42 now or at any of the ages mentioned.

Our brains have a sort of filing system for ordering memories so I am sure this is nothing to worry about, it is just your brain recognising a present situation that reflects a past situation and the number 42 is significant in recalling this.

I know this may seem a little unnecessery but I think you are the meaning of life as we know it. (Sorry people but I just had to pull that one off!)

Ok but seriously, I think you're looking too deeply into this. I mean, in the style of what many think of the Nine Eleven, I think your mind is automatically working everything out to make the number 42. This could easily be a clever quincidence, but if things get that bad, you may want to start concentrating on lucid dreaming a bit (or a bit more) so maybe you could stop this kind of curse thing.
