I keep having dreams about football/soccer

I'm English, so while American's call it soccer, I'll call it football from now on.

4 out of my last 8 dreams have involved me playing football. I'll post exactly what I wrote in my dream diary, with names removed and the first letter left, I'll italicise them too so it's easy to see.

      1st Football Dream

Playin footie for my team, at a school.
Dispossessed the goalie in the 1st minute but M1 missed.
Loadsa players from my older team were playing.
      M2, H, J.
Flicked the ball up 'n hit an overhead that was saved.
H said about a teacher who'd died then he got the body
He carried her to one place 'n put her body on the floor
Then he found a bag and said he'd wait until it was right
      I popped the bag
It was only small and big enough for her head
      We went back to playing
He passed me the ball and said something about tectonic plates.

      2nd Football Dream

At a school in a footie tournament
      Indoor 5-a-side tournament
      Saw NM
Walked off with him and saw his new car
It was nice, had leather seats
Told him I had to get back, so we started walking
I walked on and left him behind
      It was dark
Saw some other boys and they asked the way
Got to the school and met SY
He said he knew a quicker way to the hall
Went to a classroom and he asked MP something
He was taking ages so I left
Got told my team had won and got to the semis
Walked in the school and then saw SY behind me
He was with KW, who was in a wheelchair
She was joking and pretending to be disabled

      3rd Football Dream

Playing football at a place for my old team
I was on the left wing
      We started well
I had a shot that hit the inside of the crossbar then M2 headed it in
I tried taking a thrown in down the other end but some people were in the way
They had an umbrella. It was big.

      4th Football Dream

Playing football at the same place as the 3rd dream, but on an astroturf
The match was played across the full pitch
      I wasn't playing too well
      Saw CP and his mum
      They asked how I was
His mum told me about his job
CP asked what I was doing, meaning in regards to work, but I said hold on and ran off to play football.
NH was playing. JB was playing. JE too.
JE blasted the ball over the fence at the end
Then the game finished and we walked off.
      And that's it.

I'm wondering why this same situation of me playing football in a team keeps appearing. It must be relevant and important as, like I said, it's appeared 4 times in 8 dreams. The first 2 were at a school as well, is that relevant? I also had a dream about being at school in a dream that was before the 1st football dream.

      Any ideas?

      Thanks.

I had another one last night.

      5th Football Dream

Playing football at the same place as dream 3 and dream 4.
      For my old team.
      Can only recall seeing H
We kicked off and H got the ball
He ran down the left wing and put a cross in
No one could head it in though
A storm cloud came over then it turned sunny
The ref called the match off and I was annoyed

No, that's the strange thing. I only play once a week at the moment.

The first time I played in 3 weeks was on Wednesday as well, and the first dream I had was on the Sunday before.

No, it's not something I really think about a lot. I don't think it's a literal dream though, I think it's more metaphorical.

Thanks for your insight by the way, appreciated.

Well football(I am also english as you maybe able to tell from my nickname)

Football is just a general metaphor. If you missed a goal then that can relate to real life in many ways. You have made an obvious mistake. You for a link like that. But also look for other little connections. It could symbolize how people stand by you after a mistake? How they judge any failure.

Lots of dreams like these are very much about things entirely in your own mind. So if things go badly then it could reflect a slightly down mood.

      -----------------------------
The dream mind is a conceptual mind. So expect the meaning of a dream to be a conceptual meaning. Try to think about the ideas and emotions that are forming in your mind. Dreams can be about health issues, they can be about relationships, they can simply reflect some paranoias in your mind. Simply put dreams are about the STUFF in your mind. So instead of trying to interpret the dream try to think about ideas forming in your mind.
Whats more dreams concentrate on new feelings. They capture those moments when your feelings change. For instance the moment when you started to mistrust your boyfriend. Try this page as it shows you how to spot the issues which trigger dreams
