      Strange meteor

With most of my dreams, I usually look up various symbolism in dream dictionaries, and intuitively seem to know which interpretations apply. There's a sort of "aha! That's what it was about" feeling.
I had a striking dream yesterday that I have no clue about, and the various definitions online don't really seem to click. Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!

      -------------
      Dream:

First thing I remember was coming outside expecting to see daylight. The sky was a deep, smoky black-ish blue. Like night time, but blue-ish. My first instict was 'wow, what an amazing sky, I must take a photo' . I was in the courtyard of a very old, black castle/abbey type building. I didn't feel particularly intimidated by it, it looked unused and very old. I wouldn't have wanted to go inside - I felt like I was simply passing through, so that was ok. Similar to churchs/abbeys in real life. You can feel they have.....history. Which can be awe-inspiring and unsettling at the same time.

As I was looking at the clouds to my left (to take a picture, maybe?) I noticed a giant meteor in the sky (on my right) - in the direction I wasn't facing to start with, quickly realising why the sky was so dark. The meteor wasn't quite...right though. It was a dusty grey colour, but with maybe 7 or 8 large and visible craters on it - in the base of each, were bright liquid colours radiating light (blue, purple, green, red). The meteor itself wasn't flaming/on fire either. Funnily enough, it looked a bit like this but dustier, rockier and extremely old. It also had 'intent'.

I felt slightly confused, then curious, then scared, then that I must do something. Now. I don't remember if I tried to take a picture of it or not. Then I left the castle/abbey, and ended up on a footpath with a few small trees around (similar to perhaps small walks on the outskirts of towns) and ran into a few people. There was confusion/light panic whilst also trying to get organized into the best way to escape from the meteor, which was definitely approaching faster. I remember running away from it up a path, back towards what seemed like a stone bridge over a stream, or a stone arch thinking there's probably a town with some kind of shelter not too far beyond.

I looked back, half to check the meteor, half to see what the other people were up to. Then it suddenly dawned on me the meteor's intent wasn't physical destruction, though it was still speeding ahead and was seconds before impact. I was on higher ground looking way back into the distance, though it appeared massive and I saw it crash into forest, then saw a shockwave/bubble ripple outwards realising that it was spreading a 'curse'. I woke up before the blast reached me.

The meteor definitions I've found generally seem to be good things, though this dream doesn't seem like the most optimistic of things.

I'm early 20s, my current situation is I'm struggling with money, though the day I had this dream I made a bit to keep me going for a while. I've just started gigging in various places across the country, which I enjoy but it's not really helping the money situation - so there's some guilt there that I should be looking for a proper job. I'm also undecided in what to do careerwise feeling a little 'in limbo' at the moment. I also got back together with an ex (she cheated, we split up, few months later, back together) who I otherwise get along great with, but obviously I have some reservations about this time round. Again, it feels a little 'in limbo'.

Any interpretations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
